I know that this has been mentioned before and not sure if it ever aired before, but what appears to be a new Modern Marvels on Disney World will air on Christmas Day at 8PM on the History Channel. Just passing the on the info, enjoy!

The description from Tivo reads: Behind the scenes of the Magic Kingdom, from its original designs to what makes each of the parks function.

Thank you so much for the heads-up! I have been working a minimum of 15 hrs/day as of late (including weekends). This show will be that mini-escape I've been needing!!

Thanks for the information. I haven't seen this one at all. :)

Your welcome. I have been waiting for it to come on ever since I first saw it mentioned about 6 months ago but wasn't sure if it was for real or if it had already aired.

It will air at both 8PM and Midnight. A longer description from History Channel's website...

Journey underground and backstage at the technological marvel that is Walt Disney World. Enter a make-believe world spanning some 27,000 acres, brought to life by cutting-edge technology. What was once Florida swampland now boasts the world's largest theme park. The ride technology ranges from space-age centrifuges to enhanced motion vehicles powered by 3,000 PSI of hydraulic pressure. And hundreds of audio animatronics brought to life through the power of pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical systems. Walt Disney World is made up of four separate theme parks, each with its own innovations: the 107-acre Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney-MGM Studios, and Disney's Animal Kingdom. The four parks are all part of a megaplex of a resort. Twice the size of Manhattan, it was the final vision and crowning achievement of a man who spent more than 40 years pushing the limits of technology to create entertainment magic: Walt Disney.

(Reminder)

And my girlfriend wonders why I know pointless facts!!

I know how you feel. My hubby and I love shows like this and our friends now refuse to play Trivial Pursuit or Disney Trivia with us because of the vast amounts of useless knowledge that fill our brains. Maybe it'd help if some of that could be converted to useful knowledge.........
