Moderately Priced Dinner?

OUTSIDE OF THE PARKS- What are some moderately priced dinners in the resorts that are good? I'm having trouble picking but I'm looking towards Whispering Canyon or a character dinner. This is for tonight so I would LOVE to know what dinners you love before we go. Planet Hollywood was so bad Monday we ordered our drinks and left so then we went to Beaches and Cream and it was a wonderful hidden gem that we didn't even know about and the atmosphere was much better for us. So....(as I end all my posts) Thanks! :D

PS- our time here in Central Florida has been great thanks to this site and wonderful cast members!

My personal favorite for dinner outside of the parks is Whispering Canyon. I know they just recently changed the menu to only offer the family style platter but that was all we ever got anyway so it's still at the top of our list. :)

Here is a list of some of my area favorites note not all are moderately priced like Charleys'

Benihana's on I-Drive! Kobe is great but Beni is da man! $$-$$$
Charley's Steak House. One of the best in the US! Aged steaks cooked on a wood fire! $$$-$$$$
Fuddruckers I- Drive or Vineland Road Kissimme. Good Burgers $-$$
Elephant Room at the Mall at Milenia. $$-$$$
Christini's FINE Itallian dining. If you want great Itallian this is it forget EPCCOT or Portobello at DTD. $$$$$
Drawbacks: Dress code Business Casual and I beleive no Toddlers or infants. Reason why I ahve not been there aside from a business dinner.
Columbia Restraunt in Celebration This is a Florida tradition and the origianl in Tampa is one of the oldest restaurants in the country. Try the 1905 Salad and for desert the Cafe con Leche and Bread pudding made with Cuban bread..To die for. Don't forget the Mojitos or Sangria! $$-$$$$

The Grand Floridian Cafe, Sanaa and Kouzzina are probably my picks for best "bang for your buck" in the resorts. They aren't the cheapest resort restaurants, but they are relatively affordable in comparison to all dining spots in the resorts, and they have the most interesting and well executed menus of all of the casual-level options.

I'd throw in Boatwright's as an honorable mention.

Many of the deluxe resorts have a good 1 TS restaurant, Whispering Canyon, Kona Cafe, Grand Floridian Cafe, Captain's Grille, The Wave. You can get a moderately priced meal in any one of these restaurants.
