Moana Mickey's Arcade (Old Location) @ Disney's Poly Resort

What are the plans for the old Moana Mickey's Arcade location? I was in the new location today inside the Great Ceremonial House (bigger and more games). As long as they keep the Ms. Pac Man/Galaga combo arcade game... I'll be a happy camper.

As an aside - no need to bring quarters/tokens with you anymore to the game room at the Poly or the Contemporary. There's a "game card" system they use where you walk up to a card dispensing machine, insert money ($1 for 50 points, $10 for 200 points, etc), and get a card with the allowed number of points on it based on how much $$$ you put in the machine.

When you get your card, you walk up to any video game, swipe the card, hit a button on the game, and off you go. After each card swipe, the number of points required for the game is automatically deducted from the total number of points on the card.

Very cool.. :)

My wife loves to play at the arcade during our trips and try to win tickets to get something before we leave. Anyway, we tried to tour most of the resorts to find the best arcade and what we found was that the Contemporary had the largest arcade with the Pop Century coming in second.

We looked everywhere from the Poly to Wilderness Lodge to Boardwalk etc.. and couldnt find any arcades that compared to the Contemporary or Pop Century.. but maybe we missed one? We didnt have time to look at all the moderate resorts.

Both of those arcades used the card system and used what looked like the same ticket reward system... I wonder if you can use tickets won at the Pop Century for a prize from the Contemporary for example.. that would rock because Contemporary had a bigger selection of prizes!

I'm pretty sure the Contemporary has the biggest resort arcade. I know that I had a lot of fun times in there in years past. I played skeeball enough times to win a tornado lamp (it has water and little beads in it and a blender kind of bottom that stirs the beads up and it looks like a tornado).
