MNSSHP: Yay or Nay?

It would be wrong NOT to go! :D We went for the first time in October and had a blast! You get to dress up, trick or treat, meet characters. The parade and the fireworks? OUTSTANDING! By far the best I have seen anywhere. Do it!

I say, go for it. :) The Boo to You parade is my favorite parade ever! HalloWishes is a great fireworks show as well. It's fun to see everyone dressed up. The atmosphere is fun.

Definitely go. It is amazing fun. However, be aware that if you are going in September, it is probably going to be the temperature of Hell. When we went last September, it was pretty much the most intense heat I have ever experienced, even at night. Dead, heavy, heat, and humid beyond belief. In other words, this is not the night to dress up like the big furry blue guy from Monsters Inc.

We tried it for the first time last year. I was skeptical since we weren't fans of MVMCP, but I was very happy with MNSSHP. The kids really liked trick or treating, I think we all got a kick out of being able to dress up and I absolutely love the parade and fireworks. Lady Renata over at HM is a riot and we were able to catch a performance of the Cadaver Dans...sounded great!

We need time for things to happen.
Definitely something to experience at least once. Great parade (Headless Horseman - that says it all) and excellent fireworks.
I don't know if would do twice in one trip. It's a pretty hefty price tag.

Might be fun for some but I refuse to pay more to stay in a park that I am being told to leave early for which I already paid full price to get into..Fundamental hard headed irishman objection firmly in place.

...while EMH's at other parks are being cut back or taken away :banghead:

I'm Irish as well. Lose the hard headedness and go at least once, it really is cool. The fireworks are awesome, the parade is incredible and the haunted mansion with everyone dressed up is very cool :)

It's a separate event so I don't mind paying!

Nope...Disney already costs enough and daily passes keep going up so being told to leave early to make way for those who are willing to pay more just aint gonna happen. Experience or not I fundamentally am standing my ground!

Yay, but once for the trip. Parade is really good, fireworks are dope, repeated walk-on Space/Splash/Thunder Mountain rides are nice...but for the $60/person, I would only do it once on a particular trip unless others were gung-ho about it again.

OK but you get free candy as well....:hungry:

Honestly I think (and boy could I be wrong) that they go exclusive NSSHP at 7pm, MK would normally close at 9pm that time of year so it's 2 hours you "lose" by them closing early. Again I have not been to NSSHP since 2011 so I might be off in my times. I understand your point though.

Candy is free...if you do not have to pay to stay in the parks but that candy cost you $60:)

We've been about 7 times and we plan on going to 3 more this trip. We can't get enough of the special parade and characters meets and candy.

Absolute yay! It is the only hard ticket event that we've attended thus far, that I would gladly pay to do again...and again....and again. Love it!
