Do you need special tickets besides entry to park?
For P&P, MNSSHP and MVMCP, you don't need park admission, they are "Hard Ticket" events. The event ticket gets you into the park for the party, if you want to spend the day at the park before it starts, you'll need a regular park admission, but after around 4PM [I think] your event ticket will get you in.

The tickets don't seem to be for sale yet on the WDW website.

Interesting that they added on the September 30th date and the first ever party post-Halloween on November 2nd. A record 20 parties...wow! I wonder how that party in November will be attended? That is on a Friday night.

The popularity of Halloween in our culture continues to grow. I hope we see some new stuff at this year's parties. I loved all the fall and Halloween decorations Disneyland did last year, and would love to see some of those at WDW.

My sister called as soon as the ticket number opened and waited a half an hour before she finally got helped. They were extremely busy with all of the ticket requests. We got the date that we wanted which was on Halloween!!

My wife and I have gone to the Halloween party for years. However last year was our last time. It always was a great time up till last year anyway. Until they almost doubled the amount of tickets they sold each night. Now it's crowded and everyone is there. Before it was a very limited number of people and all the rides was open. Now it's just like every other EMH night. Too many people are there. I don't see paying that much for a few extra hours and some cheap candy. Disney is just trying to make some extra $$. But that's just my opinion.

Funny, last year was our first chance to get to attend. We always go the first couple of weeks in September and it had not been offered that early. Last year we got to go on opening day and we had so much fun that we planned our vacation around getting to go again this year on the first day!

I bought my tickets for oct. 8th earlier today, it took forever to get through to a disney person. I was hoping to get them online so I wouldn't have to be on hold a long time since I am at work, but the website hasn't been updated yet. So, I just set my cell phone on the counter and let my fellow employees listen to disney music on the hold line until they picked up.:ROFLOL:

I'm going on the 8th too, it'll be our first time at MNSSHP, but I was hoping that by picking the Monday night it might not be too busy.
How many tickets do they sell now per night?

Just waiting for HHN to go on sale now, anyone know when this is, I can seem to find the information anywhere on Universal's site?

I bought tickets for Sept 14 (AP discount). It's going to be a little weird going to a Halloween party 6 weeks before Halloween, but I'm sure I'll have a blast. I went to my first MNSSHP last year and loved it! I like this event even more than MVMCP and PnPP.

Are some party dates available for Advance Purchase and other dates you have to buy at the gate. I thought I recalled seeing (on another fan site :lookaroun ) that the date we would be there, 9/28) was not one of the advance purchase dates...

No, all dates are available for advance purchase which offers a slight discount. The nights that offer AP or DVC discounts must be purchased at least one day in advance to get the discount and unlike in years past where they mailed the tickets to you, this year you have to pick them up at the will call. However, when I just ordered mine, I asked if I could pick them up any time since my next trip is this month and I was told yes, that I didn't have to wait until September. When you buy tickets on the day of the event, you pay the gate price.

Actually, not all dates have the discount. Kybred was right...sorta.

You can advance purchase your tickets for all nights...however, for certain nights if you advance purchase, you get a $7 discount. Other nights however, you do not get a discount. Example: Sept 14 the cost is $41.49. September 21 the cost is 48.94 no matter what...whether you purchase them in advance or not. You can still purchase them, but you just won't get a discount for doing so. Here's the breakdown:

Gate Price (including taxes):
Adult (age 10+) $48.94
Child (age 3-9) $42.55

Gate Pricing subject to availability -- many nights will sell out in advance.

Advance Purchase Savings Price on select nights only (including taxes):
Adult (age 10+) $41.49
Child (age 3-9) $35.10

Tickets must be purchased at least 1 day prior to event.
Advance ticket savings of $7 per ticket are available for all nights except: 9/21, 9/28, 10/5, 10/12, 10/18, 10/25, 10/26, and 10/31.
