MNSSHP Question

Tomorrow we are going to MNSSHP with my 8 yr old. One of the things she just HAS to do every visit to MK is visit Tinkerbell and this trip it is super important that she visit in costume. As AP holders dd doesn't really care about the rides this year during the party she wants to enjoy the parade, shows, dance parties etc.. that she has missed in years passed as it was also her chance to ride the rides.

Here is what I'm trying to decide. Our time frame, I don't want to get there TOO early but I was thinking maybe we should go a bit early so we can stand in the Tinkerbell line that always takes an hour or more. Get my dd's picture of her in her Tinkerbell adventure costome (I even had it airbrushed to look like leaves) with Tinkerbell and then be able to enjoy the party stuff once it starts.

How early can we get in using the Party tickets? If we come in before that time and use our AP's do we have to go all the way out and re-enter the park using our Party tickets?

I believe that by using the MNSSHP ticket alone you can go in no earlier than 7PM. If you use another form of entry (APH, reg ticket, etc...) you will not have to exit the park but you will have to exit certain areas. You will also need to visit a CM to show your MNSSHP cards (tickets) and get a wristband.

You can get in with the party ticket starting at 4 PM. It has been like this for years and since I did not hear a big stink about it on this board, I am assuming you still can.

You can get into the park using the event ticket at 4pm. They will direct people to different gates depending on if they have an event ticket or regular park ticket. If you enter with your MNSSHP ticket you will then be given a wristband and trick or treat bag right at the entrance.

THANK YOU all for your answers! We just decided we are going to be walking in about 5p.. that will give us enough time to see Tinkerbell before the party starts.

I apologize. I thought it was 7PM. As many times as I have been to Disney, I have only ever been to MNSSHP once and we were already in the park before the party. I thought I had read on this site that it was 7PM. Sorry about that.

Party starts at 7, but event tickets let you get in at 4.

No need to apologize. We have been going to either MNSSHP or MVMCP every year since 99 and I had to ask! I've always just gotten there at 630, this is our first year being AP holders so it was my first year thinking lets get there earlier so I figured I'd ask how it worked using AP vs. party ticket.

THANKS AGAIN to all those who replied!

You should go early since it is sold out. The party was also sold out on Sept. 30, and it was REALLY crowded. Have a great time!

We entered the park at 4pm ...got our wrist bands & trick or treat bag at the gate and were on our way.

Character greet lines were long esp. Seven Dwarfs.
Good luck & have fun

Now that I know it's sold out tomorrow I think I'll revise my plans and be at MK at 4p.

How crowed is a sold out party.. not that I can turn back now we have our tickets sitting here. Just want to prepare my daughter she has problems with dense crowds but if I prepare her she should be okay.

Last time we went was the day of the 40th celebration and we had to leave after just an few hours she couldn't handle how packed it is. Is sold out party that bad? or do they limit the number of tickets sold so it's not as packed as a full house day time.

About 20,000 people fill up a sold-out night. As someone's who's worked the Halloween Party, might I recommend getting to the special party character lines right BEFORE 7PM, it will definitely save you from the crowds.

If she likes the 7 dwarves, get there and make a line right before 7, you can even ask a character attendant and they will help you get set up. Those lines DO get busy over time through the party.

Thank you to the above poster who suggested being in special lines before 7p. We got there by 5p and saw Tinkerbell first and YES my daughter was thrilled she was in her adventure/winter wear and Tink/Terence made a big fuss off DD's costume. Well everyone made a big fuss of DD's costume Mickey even gave me double thumbs up! We were getting asked all nite about the costume.

After Tink we shopped then got in line for for Flynn got done with that by 720 and were able to enjoy the rest of our nite. Only waited 15 min's for Capt. Jack by waiting till about 10:30 to get in line.
