MNSSHP outfits

Hi all ,

We are off to one of the MNSSHP nights during our visit in Sept, of course the kids will be all dressed for the occasion, in addition DW and I have been discussing whether we should get dressed up also. So I have a few questions...

  1. Do many parents do this?
  2. If parents do get dressed up in Halloween guise, have any of you folks done it and what did you go dressed as?
  3. Last question...what did your kids think of you getting dressed up?

we did it 2 years in a row
first time:
DS (3) Darth vader
DH- Darth Mickey
Me-Minnie

2nd: Andy's Toys
DS(4)-Buzz
DH-Wheezy
Me:Bo Peep
When we passed by where woody, bullseye and jesse were, the CM found us on our way to Splash and brought us in for pictures. The characters made such a fuss to have part of "the toys" to take pics with. We loved doing it, and had a great time as a family planning our costumes. Many parents dress up, many adults w/o kids do too. It's a party...be crazy:hammer:

My nephew is going as a pirate this year and I'm dressing as one too, his mom dressed like a bunny last year. We all either get dressed up or wear halloween clothing t-shirt, witches hat, jewelry. Many, many adults dress up with and without kids. Go have a good time.

With the exception of the first year we have dressed up every year for MNSSHP. You will find quite a few adults with and without kids dressed up for the party. Here is a picture of the family from last year. I get the typically teenage eye role from my kids as I get into Halloween more than they do.

I figured I'd jump onto this thread rather than start a new one about the same thing.

It looks like I might get the chance to go to MNSSHP for the first time this year :sohappy: I'll likely be going with two of my friends and we're trying to figure out what to wear. We're all grad students right now, so we have to be scrappy but we still want to do something fun, but practical for the parks. Anyone have any ideas?

IMHO, one of the easiest is an original Mousketeer costume.

Dark pants/skirt and a white shirt with your name on the back. Or, you might be Annette, Cubby, and Roy.

And of course, Mouse Ears.

Good idea. If they aren't fans of it, I think I'll go as Kim Possible and let them figure their own costumes out
