MNSSHP or Sanaa?

We both really wanted to eat at Sanaa this time around and got dinner reservations at a nice time. Then the schedule for MNSSHP came out and we realized that it was on the same night. Which one would you rather do?

Assuming you've never done either and you have three children, MNSSHP absolutely. Or as twilight mitsuk said, Sanaa on a different night. I think you'd be pushing it too close getting a reservation at Sanaa at 5 pm and rushing to MNSSHP, so you'd be unable to fully enjoy either.

Our trip is in one week. We have looked at other days and the only times that seem available are 9 pm or later. Has anybody had luck calling the reservation line and getting squeezed in?

Sanaa should be easy to reschedule. That said I'm not a fan of MNSSHP so I would pick Sanaa over it. Though I do prefer Sanaa for lunch vs dinner for easier animal viewing.

MNSSHP... Its an event that shouldnt be missed. Theres so much going on and you can get you and the kids dressed up in costume to add to the fun. There lots of candy given out in spots but you can monitor how much you want the kids to get. The unique parade, fireworks, shows make the event different, exciting and memorable. Its a better addition to your Disney trip than Sanaa... you can always go to Sanaa on another visit but because MNSSHP only gets run on certain dates and time of year...you may not get to see it again.

If you're not staying at AKL, then I would say book Sanaa for a late lunch/linner. The resort is too beautiful not to enjoy during daylight plus you'll see the animals. Get a snack in MK and enjoy MNSSHP by getting there with time to spare.

I had this same problem in 2016. I did both. We had a 5pm dinner time for Sanaa, which was great because there were still enough light outside to see the animals. And we left from AKL to go straight to MK for the Halloween party. We had done the party once before though so we didn't dress up because of the Sanaa dinner. Also, one thing to keep in mind, is that it's best to get to MK at 4pm and get the party wristbands before the lines get huge. Which was the problem we ran into in 2016. Because we got to MK between 6:30 and 7pm, we had to wait in crazy, disorganized lines to get the party wristbands.

Sanaa is also open for breakfast from 7:00am to 10:00am. No reservations required, but food is served like a QS restaurant.

I would pick MNSSHP and dine at Sanaa at another time or date.

Just do Sanaa for lunch. They still have the bread service, which is the main draw.
Plus, it's much easier to see the animals through the window during the daytime.
Then, change into your costumes at the Kidani Village bathrooms and go to the party.
We did this back in 2016. Worked out great.

Check out the touring plans reservation finder. You can put in the time and they will send you a text/email as soon as a reservation opens up. If you didnt want to do that, I would just keep checking, especially in the 24 hours leading up to your reservation.

Love a little Disney every day!! ;)
Easy do both! Do a late lunch at Sanaa like anytime between 2-3:30pm. The menu is the same at lunch plus you can see the animals. Then head to MNSSHP after. You can get in at 4pm with party ticket (or 2pm if DVC Member). ;)

THE PARTY OF COURSE. Um oh, sorry, MNSSHP, as others have said, try to get a lunch spot at Sanaa and get to the PARTY BY FOUR!!.

You have to excuse me, I get a little emotional for MNSSHP. If you can not get a time for the restaurant than skip it and do the party.

Menu is a little different between lunch and dinner. I don't care for the dinner menu at all, but lunch is great.

We have decided to skip Sanaa. Booked Mama Melroses for lunch and back to the hotel to put on costumes for adult trick or treating. I will continue to check to see if any times open up at Sanaa.

Sorry yes it’s not exact, but It is not much different though we usually do lunch too. A few items are different but all the faves of most are at both meals. The items me and the hubby usually get are at both meals. But yes slightly different. ;)
