MNSSHP for 2 Adults??

We've just extended our stay to arrive on Sept. 30 (so we can be at Epcot for opening on Oct 1!), and since there is a MNSSHP on Sept. 30, I am wondering if we should get tickets.

We are two adults, no kids (40+, married 20+ years). I am aware of the special parade and fireworks, but am wondering what else is there and if it is worth it for us. We don't need candy!!

I would be willing to wear a Halloween costume, but I doubt my DH would.

Before I spend $70+ on tickets for this event, I would value hearing your opinions...

I do have two kids, but they fell asleep at about 8.00. DH and I stayed till closing while kiddes dozed. Check out my avatar. We both commented on how cool it was and well they transform the park. If you are in too characters there are a ton out and I have heard some rare one as well. We also love the short wait times. We do rider swap and still were able to finish a ride in 10-15 mins BTMRR, SM, SpMt etc. We went to MGM earlier in the day, took a break to change the kids and then went to the MNSSHP at 4.00 (explaing why the kids slept so long.) This year we are going to make it a pool day and then head over. So I guess it might be cheaper than a one day one park ticket and you get about 7 hrs in the park. DH and I meet several groups of adults and one very lovely couple on there 20th ana. trip, all with out kids and all having a blast. DH and I are also going to dress up this year, we though only kids did. WRONG, I saw some of the best costume ever on adults. Also you could keep the candy to give to your Trick or Treaters. We did, I didn't even have to buy any for ours.
I was a little P. O. about the ticket increase but I do think it would be worth it.

Definatley go. I have a lot of clients who do not have children who will be attending this party. I have gone at least 5 times since the first year they started the party. We love it! Most of the rides are open, the Villians are out in full force. It's a very cool event. If you love Halloween, you will love this party. Make sure you get the early admission tickets which will run you about $42 per adult.

My wife and I have been twice as adults with no kids. We love the halloween party. Great theming and decor. Usually very short lines to all the attractions. The "Boo to You" parade is the BEST parade Disney has hands down. Its really a good time to be had by all at any age.

My boyfriend and I went to the event and totally loved it... we are in our late 20's, no kids, and no need for candy either, but had a blast!! I would say its worth it, plus seeing all the kids dressed up in their costumes and having a blast is almost as much fun as well.
I do know however, they don't really want adults to dress in costume, or at least not costumes that look "authentic" and/or may confuse other guests. I've always understood that wearing costumes has been something the parks prefer to leave to the kiddo's and the characters. (But I'm with you... I would totally go in my Minnie Mouse costume if I could).

Thanks for the info. According to the Mickey Monitor that arrived in today's mail, there's a discounted ticket of $35.95, but on second glance, it's not being offered on 9/30.

Two years ago, we arrived at WDW on Halloween, and my idea of a costume was a pair of the Tigger ears that they sell there!! I'd like to think I could do better this time, if we decide to go for it.

Tickets aren't that expenseive! $40 to $45!!!

I'm 19, going with my girlfriend and 2 friends of ours...and although we are half going for the candy, it's great fun for adults too!!! The atmosphere off all the guests and the lighting and all the Costumes!!!! Where else can you see a couple thousand people all dressed up! NOWHERE!!!! :p And comon....if you and your hubby are going to disney alone without kids...you two are definitely kids at heart! You know you'll enjoy it! It's definitely a different experience than MK during the day!

Now if we could only get him to wear a costume...

We're going for the first time this year, primarily for parade, fireworks and the opportunity to enjoy the park at night with the extra theming. We do have a lot adults-only friend who've gone and really enjoyed themselves. The dress up thing isn't for us, but it's fun to watch others.

I love going with my friends and we have no children. I don't always wear a costume, but do get decked out in my Halloween finery: halloween shirt, tote bag, jewelry and witches hat.

I think one of my favorite things is seeing the headless horseman ride down main street before the parade.

I've heard that MNSSHP is great from many guests at the disney store. I'm doing the college program and my boyfriend, parents, and 2 family friends will be down. We are planning on going. My bf went to DL when a child but has never been to WDW. I'm hoping he will catch the bug... or the mouse.

My wife and I went for the first time in 2004 by ourselves. We've been hooked ever since then and now have gone back with our 1 year old son in 2005 an 2006, and will be there again on 9/28/7, he'll be two and we will all dress up. Even if you don't dress up it is by far the best ticked event IMO. You'll have a great time!

My Hubby (well will be once we're there!) and I are going the first night they have it - 9/14. I've never been to this one, only MVMCP so I'm really excited to see how different it is. We'll be dressing up in our bride and groom ears! :D

We went in Oct 2005, all adults(8 of us) and we had a blast. We ranged in ages from 25 years old to 55 years old! We didn't wear costumes and neither did a lot of ther people. We did some "trick-or-treating" but, we really liked being there for the special parade, fireworks etc. I say, go for it!:D
