Thought this would be a good idea since dates were just released today. What's everyone going as? Throw your suggestions/photos/ideas out there

We (3 girls) want to do a Haunted Mansion theme but are having a hard time coming up with ideas since the majority of the Haunted Mansion characters are male.

I'm disneybounding as Minnie! Bought the dress and white gloves last week, will pair them with black tights, yellow ballerina slippers and will buy a pair of Minnie ears when we arrive at MK.

My mom will use a pair of Mickey ears and that's it.

Or one of you could be Madame Leota, one could be the girl on the stretching room portrait that gets eaten by alligators, and another could be in a dress like the dancing ghosts wear!

We did haunted mansion a few years ago. I was the opera singer at the end of the graveyard scene, my older daughter was the bride and my other was one of the maids, my husband was a hitchhiking ghost. This year we are thinking Peter Pan.

I don't dress up but my kiddo is going as a character from the video game Kingdom Hearts.

We're going for the first time this year (We're going on 10/31), I'm going as Flynn Rider. Do most people wear costumes?

I don't know, but there are a lot of costumes, some simple, some VERY elaborate (when I went, there was someone dressed as an entire pirate ship). It's fun, especially if you're doing character meets because the characters most likely WILL react to them (several characters reached up and started fooling with the mask I was wearing last year). So, I say go for it. It's one of the few times that WDW not only allows but encourages costumes, so go nuts.

I don't know if you've heard, but there's an event going on called Project Kingdom Hearts on the Halloween party night of Sept. 26th
It's a fan run event, but I went last year and it was quite fun :D
You'll need to register on their website in advance to find out when/ where to meet up....
I'll be there as Kairi (same as my profile pic on here) so be sure to say hi if you go then!

THANK YOU!! I will have to make sure we go that night. She'll be Larxene this year. Last year she was a Pokemon trainer and got lots of attention in the park.

I have NO IDEA who the characters are only what she "teaches" me.. but she'll be Larxene. We have already started making her costume we go all out for Halloween.

Oh, Larxene is awesome. But if that's her favorite character, then keep an eye on her. Larxene is pretty mean, even for a bad guy.

Went as Michael and John from Peter Pan last year. Searched "pink footie pajamas" on the Internet and it came right up, proving that you really can find anything on the Internet. They were thirty bucks and when I added a dollar store teddy bear, this forty year old man was the spitting image of a preschool child who flies. Not.

;)

Anyway, it seemed like a good idea at the time but I have pics of me from the end of the night drenched in sweat, and the footies of the pajamas all shredded.

But it was tons of fun, especially when we ran into Peter Pans and Wendys, and our water bottles filled with vodk------I mean water, yeah water-----didn't hurt either.

At the end of the night, I gave the dollar store teddy bear to a little girl on our resort bus and she acted like she won the lottery. I guess I paid it forward...or something.

Thanks for the heads up... not sure if she's a favorite or just the one she went for because she prefers her outfit. She doesn't really like half dressed female characters so would never ask to be dressed as one.

I have a question though... Does any one know if we make the "knives" out of foam will they be allowed in the park?
