MNSSHP Costume Question

Pardon me if this has been asked before. I'll be attending the Halloween Party on 9/10, and I plan to go in costume. My question is, I know guests attending the party are allowed into the Magic Kingdom at 4 - can we wear our costume then, or can we not wear costumes until 7 PM? If so I may just hang out in my hotel room until closer to the party starts that way I don't have to switch gear mid-day.

Also - if you see a particularly tall Rey, say hi!

You can enter in costume at 4pm with a party ticket. There will be an entrance marked for party guests where you will scan or tap in and receive your wristband. There will be cast members in their party outfits with signs to direct you. Just pay attention to the costume guidelines and you will be fine. Don't forget it can be very hot in September/October. I always keep that in mind when planning my costume. Have a great time!

If you want to wear it prior to 4 PM they might be lax and allow, it. Or they might not.

If you want to be sure (so you don't get sent back to change) just bring it and store it in a locker until 4 PM.

Yes, it will be hot, hot, hot, in September. We're going September 1st and my costume will be a pair of shorts, a Mickey Halloween t shirt and my Halloween ears. I feel for the CMs in their costumes in that heat.

There are many guests that do show up in costume prior to the event time. I havent seen anyone stopped because of it. We always rent out a locker to store our costumes in and get them just before the party. It does get hot so making a costume that light weight does help you get through the night easier.

I suppose the heat vaguely worries me. I'll be dressed as Rey so pretty much as light as it gets, her outfit is literally made for the desert. My partner, however, is planning to match me by going as Kylo Ren... which, y'know, long black cloak may not be the best outfit for heat. We live in Oakland so it's not like we're unprepared for Indian Summers but I'm thankful y'all brought it up.

Just note that the new costume rules don't allow caps past the waist.

We always go early and in full costumes. It is hot, but we love it! There are quite a few people dressed up getting there early. It is a wonderful blessing when the sun goes down but still feels like a sauna with the added clothing. It is a ball dressing up though and worth the heat. Have fun!
