MNSSHP Costume advice

Me and my wife are attending on Halloween and are travelling from the UK. We are unsure whether to dress up or not but if we do, we don't really want to be bringing fancy dress over with us. Is there anywhere within Disney that do adult costumes?

I don't know where in WDW you can find adult costumes, but I wanted to give you the advice that it can still be hot in october for halloween so you might not want a costume that's heavy clothing.

Unfortunately there is little to nothing in the way of adult costumes at WDW. If you will have a car there are a number of places around WDW that can help you. Of the ones listed in the link below Party City will have the best selection at pretty reasonable prices.

What my wife and I have done in the past is purchase our costumes on line and then bring them with us. We stay on property and don't rent a car so trying to buy a costume there is very difficult.

Hi there, I had this same issue a few years back and thought that at the parks they did sell Costumes, they do not unfortunately they only sell children costumes.
It is kinda warm during October in Florida. I am attending the MNSSHP with my husband two times this year and I am still wondering if I should dress up. It could be a fun thing to do but also with the weather being warm there it may not be the greatest idea for an adult, and also the fact that you would have to pack all that too.
It's something to think about and you should definately purchase your costumes prior to coming to Disney if you want to dress up.
There are also man online sites that sell Halloween Costumes. You can also think up an idea where as you would not have to actual buy a costume but us something you already have like say dress up as a Cowboy/Cowgirl and all you would need is jeans and a plaid shirt and maybe a hat or put your hair in braids something to that effect.
Hope this helps a bit. Take care now and enjoy your time in October it's always fun wether you dress up or not. :sohappy::wave:Tinkerchelli

Just a thought on this... you could always do a costume out of everyday clothes you might bring anyway. For example, I went to MNSSHP straight from work so I wore green pants and a black turtleneck to work and put black gloves in my purse so I could switch to Kim Possible for the night. (I used temporary auburn hair dye that washed out within the week but you could get a packaged wig which wouldn't take too much room.) You could also add Ron Stoppable.

There are a decent amount of costume ideas that utilize everyday wear. Maybe be Mouseketeers and buy the ears in the parks?

We did MNSSHP last year. My family opted to bring costumes and they did take up a bit of space. However, another family that traveled with us decided to have Mickey Mouse club t-shirts made up, with their names and the logo on them, then bought mouse ears to wear when they got to the parks. It was very cute. The t-shirts didn't take up much extra room to pack, they could wear regular shorts with them. They, of course, had to pack the mouse ears to bring home but they didn't take up much room.

Even if you didn't want to do specifically that, you could still go the t-shirt route and then buy another style hat when you get there that would double as a souvenir. For the Princess and Pirate party we went to in 07, my mom bought a Goofy pirate hat to wear.
