MNSSHP and HP World . . .possible?

My wife and are heading to WDW for the first time in October! I am a huge harry potter fan and we plan on visiting Universal one day only for Harry Potter World.

We will be attending MNSSHP, Monday oct 10th and I'm torn about using a day of Disney park tickets and attending MNSSHP. Is visiting Harry Potter World then attending MNSSHP the same day a good idea?

If WWOHP is all you plan to do at uni, there's plenty of time to do both uni parks and a wdw party. You realize you will need to buy a park to park at uni to do both Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley. You will need to do both. The best ride is in Hogsmeade but the best area is Diagon Alley.

Yes we will make sure we get the 2 park pass. Also Universal closes at 7

If you are only doing Potter and a few other rides, you can be finished by three to get to the party at wdw by four. They let you in at four for the party. We always get lots of rides done before the crowds get there. Many people don't realize you get in at four, not seven.

Sure you can do it but is it going to be worth the expense. Buying the 2 Uni tickets and not spending time or doing much at Uni isnt giving you good value for your money. I agree seeing HP is worth going to Uni for, but I'd question spending that much just for HP and a few other rides. I enjoyed all of HP but dont think it lives up to the hype it created.
