My wife and I will be there the week before Halloween on an adults only trip. I'd like to hear opinions on seeing the event and dressing up without kids along. Is it worth the $60ish dollars for the tickets? Are there discounts available to AP holders for the event? We've never been and were there right before Labor day and noticed the decorations already going up.

I went last night just to meet Gaston & it was amazing!!

Where does Jack Sparrow meet? I didn't hear anything about him.

Though by 7:15pm the 7 Dwarfs line was already by Big Thunder, a good hour or so.

Jack is over at the water fountain across from PoTC on the way to Jungle Cruise. It was about a 10 minute wait for us because I showed up early to his last set and was third in line. Dude was spot on in his actions and mannerisms. We waited roughly 40 minutes for the dwarfs.

The very first time my wife and I went to the party was before we had kids. We had a great time and made our "costumes" on the fly. There are AP discounts which you can find on the AP website but are not offered at the gate. To us, it made us feel even more like kids than we usually do because of the ability to trick-or-treat. It's something we haven't missed now in 8 years. If you go, I don't think you'll regret it.

We attended the first party on the 13th. We got in with our party tickets at 4:00. Crowds were a little bit bigger than in past years--we've gone to the
1st party 3 times. Biggest M & G line we saw was for the 7 Dwarves. Saw a lot of awesome costumes! Most frustrating thing was that I probably asked 9 or 10 CMs where Duffy was doing his M & G, and no one knew. Someone finally knew and we had to go all the way back up to the entrance to meet him. (He's my DS's favorite new character.) Candy was definately better than last year. The candy spot by Splash Mnt. was awesome. I went through around 11:00 while my DH and DS rode Splash, and the CMs filled all 3 bags to the top for me. They were definately checking wristbands. We were way deep into Tomorrowland and saw a CM briskly escorting 4 people out. They were checking on the bridges and at the attractions.
