Historic division rivals with no playoff shot this year. Yeah it's going to be interesting to see how successful this one is compared to two contenders last summer.
I still think the uniqueness and setting will make it a hit.

I'm not a Cubs fan, but thought the Harry Caray hologram performance during the 7th inning stretch last night at Field Of Dreams was a nice tribute.
Yet apparently this morning, many on social media are freaking out about it and calling it "creepy". Creepy? Really?

The music industry has done tributes in the past to dead celebrities via hologram... Elvis, Whitney Houston, Tupac, Roy Orbison... this is nothing new. Technology does amazing things. Not sure why it's suddenly creeping people out with Harry.

It was a nice tip of the cap to all the Cubs fans and players at last night's game, and went well with the Field Of Dreams theme honoring ghosts of baseball past. Imo.

What are your thoughts those of you who watched last night's FOD game?

As a result of all 30 MLB teams playing one another in a season for the first time in 2023, divisional opponents will play each other just 13 times in a season -- down from 19.

Playoff Expansion to 12 Teams with the “true bracket” form?

This is REALLY going to be something in the NL

Currently

1 - Dodgers
2- Mets/Braves (Currently tied atop East)
3) Cardinals
4) Mets/Braves
5) Phillies
6) Padres

So…the Bracket:

1 -Dodgers …. 1st Round Bye
2 - East Wnner…. 1st Round Bye

3Cardinals vs 6Padres
4East Runner up vs 5Phillies

The issue is in the above BRACKET, the Dodgers play the Winner of 4 vs 5….and that could EASILY be the East Runner Up

The 2 Seed would get a MUCH EASIER matchup….

The Bracket Format is set; no re seeding for the Divisional Round…
Imagine the Divisional Round:

Dodgers vs Mets
Braves vs Cardinals

In THAT Bracket, the Dodgers might have to play BOTH the Braves and Mets…..

The Top 3 Teams in the NL are the Dodgers, Braves, and Mets…..the2 Seed has the easiest path as it would only have to play 1 of the Big 3

The Phillies lost 5 straight around the 3rd week of September. I was one of the many fans who gave up on them. So imagine my shock when they went into St Louis and won 2 in a row. Swept um. Now they are poised to win this series. It is not over yet...but I just feel so surprised!
