The way I see it. This are a limited number of tickets available, if they made more tickets available to accommodate every member to go it would be super packed. If your lucky enough to get tickets, be thankful and have a great time. It’s a random queue lottery. You click and you are assigned a random number in line. Pretty fair in my opinion. If you didn’t get in, it stinks but try again next time. Be grateful that this event is even offered and other members have an opportunity to attend. DVC can stop offering if they feel too many people are complaining and unhappy and it’s just not worth the hassle. The IT part is definitely an issue but it has greatly improved from when they first started.

I am glad for people who will be able to attend and hope that DVC will continue to offer these and even more events for us members.

In my case, this wasn't a matter of "luck", I followed the rules, got a good number in the queue, but due to "technical issues", I still didn't get a spot.

Oh!, and I'm still waiting for a response to an email I sent to DVC Costumer Service, 12 days ago.

I guess people won't uderstand my point of view, until something like this happens to them. I do not wish this upon anybody.

I totally get your point and if you were in the queue and your number came up with availability but because of an tech issue your reservation was not recognized then I would definitely contact guest services. I was responding to the OP regarding getting number 8000 and then it was all booked up. Sorry I didn’t mark my response that way.

I understand what you mean. I had some issues that day and actually had a restart of my web session after I was already starting to process my registration. Though I lost my spot.
I totally agree with you. They need to deal with the IT backend of that system, period. Glitches like you experienced just shouldn't happen.

I am in the same boat—have a DVC reservation, got a place in line, for to the front of the line and the system said I didn’t have a resort reservation. Called Member Services, was on hold an hour, told “yes you do have a reservation, but now event sign ups are done.”

So I should have gotten tickets and didn’t. I care more about SWGE AP previews, so we will see on that.

I was so sad and upset about this ordeal last Wednesday! I even posted on the "Blow Off Some Steam" or whatever thread! 😄
Mine is the only post there, I cannot believe that nobody else has anything to vent about.

I guess most resort to the Politics Forum :cautious:

Oh well... we'll see how it goes with the SWGE AP previews...
