MKT's summer music review

alright... i'm listening to some CD's and here are some quick reviews....


Metallica- St. Anger:

Sucks. Metallica is trying to stay current and they failed. That and James Hetfield scared me trying to rap and curse. It sounds like they were trying to Parody Static X or Soulfly.... and gave up. To quote our very own WDWFreak53, "Rockefeller Skank had better lyrics." To be honest, I'd rather be listening to that. Track 5, the Invisible Kid wasn't half bad though.... that was about it.

Radiohead - Hail to the Thief

Loved it. Buy it. The only drawbacks... some of the techno beats get really annoying. If you like Radiohead, you'll like this one

Er, i'd have to go for a 2 or 2.5 soley based on the improvement over load and reload. Its not that horrid, its just not that great. Sounds a lot like Static X.

But long gone are the days of a virtuoso kirk hammet guitar solo wherein they play the same 4 notes as fast as they can for 15 minutes.... The idea of a melody or some sort of musical redemption seems long past.

Thats almost exactly what Music Critic Jim DeReogotis said in the Chicago Suntimes said today... :lol: Must be annoying a LOT of people then....lol

Music is opinion, had this discussion over lunch, ageing rockers happen to give this the thumbs up.

As for Radiohead, pretentious, student orientated pap. There Cr@p and alwayswill be. Music to hang yourself by
