Splash is down now. We always begin with Buzz and get a few rides in on it then go over to Pirates and take the rest of the park in the order that we come to things.
If your trip is October 2015 then refurbishments may impact your plans. Plus the crowds should be less and you will likely get to ride everything on your list at least twice. And if you try Buzz Light year, you will like it, too.Buzz Lightyear is not on my bucket list.lol. It's just me and my best friend, with no children, so we aren't really rushing for those types of rides. Well, not all of them lol. My biggies at the MK are Splash, Space, BTMRR, HM, PotC, and maybe even JC for nostalgia's sake. After that, I'll go on more, but at a leisurely pace. I want to just be able to take it all in.

Just be mindful of the day you go...if you don't plan on doing the Halloween party then the park closes at 7pm.
Sorry, i don't mean to discourage you. It is not post yet. I would keep an eye on the list of scheduled refurbishments that is on WDWMagic.com. It kept us from being disappointed last fall when Peter Pan was closed during part of our trip. What is planned to be refurbished at that time? If there is too much, I may reconsider my dates.

I am no expert on when they do refurbishments but it seems like they do some during slower times of year, even if closes the ride for a day or two.
Maybe someone else can provide better insight.
