MK question & Aerosmith ride question

Firstly, thanks for all the responses on my previous posts. They've helped a lot! I'm now realizing how much my family and I missed in 2005 when we pretty much tried to wing it and did very little planning.

Anyway, my first question is regarding MK. Would you choose to do MK on a Friday when they have the EMH in the morning and are more crowded with it being Friday, or would you choose to go on a Tuesday when they're usually less crowded all day? I'm going April 4th-10th.

Second question: what do they consider loose items for the Aerosmith roller coaster? I got a Birnbaum's guide and there's a note saying all loose items are required to be in lockers. Would a cinch sack (the one Disney sells) be fine? I'm assuming loose means stuff like wallets, keys, change, IDs, phones, etc., but wanted to check.

Thanks!

I didn't think there were lockers for that ride, I've brought a hat on it before. I would assume a cinch sack would be fine.

MK: I like going to MK early morning EMH. The drawback is not everything is open. Splash and the Mt RR are not open. We usually do the rides like Space Mt, Buzz and get then out of the way. About then the park is open to the public and we head to Splash. I make our FP for later in the day and the front of the park. It usually works out well. That being said, I am not sure about the Friday crowds at MK. I have never been there on a Friday, but I don't see why my plan still would not work.

  • Aerosmith: Never new they had lockers and never felt like I was going to lose things in my pocket like keys. Sunglasses I would be concerned with if you are wearing them. However, I wear prescription glasses and wear them on the ride.

For MK, I would choose the Tuesday (make sure to check crowd calendars just in case). We always get hopper passes so we can avoid the park until the actual magic hours, but we like to go all day long.

You can actually take a full size backpack on to aerosmith, just put your leg theough the shoulder strap. That is one thing I really like about Disney, all their rides you can bring a pack with you.

MK: do you have the option to park hop? If so, I'd go to EMH, get all the big stuff done early and then head to another park for the rest of the day, using FP+ for rides in that park. If not, may try the Tuesday? Regardless, try checking the crowd calendars.

Aerosmith: I've always used a cross-body purse or stuck everything in my DH's backpack. Never had a problem with losing a thing. I'd never waste the $ on a locker. Even on water rides, we make sure we have ziplock bags to stick the cameras inside so if the backpack gets wet, they stay dry.

I recently added Park Hopper. So, that's a good idea. I didn't see much at HS that I absolutely had to do besides Tower of Terror, Rock n Roller coaster, and the Great Movie Ride, so I didn't imagine spending an entire day there. Now, I think I'll do MK in the morning and HS that afternoon through evening to take advantage of their EMH, too. Thanks!

Tuesday. If you've every looked at any of my crowd level research that I've posted, Tuesday is a good day to visit MK. Friday is distinctly not.

Cinch sack should be fine.

I would pick the Tuesday for Magic Kingdom, for Aero Smith they have a little bag in front of you for your stuff I have put keys, wallet, shades in there, due to gravity you wont loose any thing. Have a fun trip.

I'd never waste the $ on a locker. Even on water rides,

A bit off topic for this thread, but in response to this, the lockers by Kali in AK are free for the first 70 min is free, so unless the lines are crazy, you can store your stuff free while you ride.

Loose items are basically anything that could be dropped/go into trajectory while on the ride. As mentioned, if you have a bag, just stick it on the floor and put your leg through the straps. If you have hats, glasses, etc you can use the pouch on the back of the seat in front of you. There are no lockers at the ride, you would need to use the ones at the front of the park, and those aren't cheap.
