MK Opening Ceremony and Happily Ever After Show ?

Hi! I just booked a trip to Disney August 17-22 with 5 friends. We want to see the opening ceremony at MK. If the park is scheduled to open at 9:00 am but EMH are 8-9am when do they do the opening ceremony?

Also, does anyone know if the Happily Ever After show will play every night like Wishes does now? Based on our dining reservations we will be able to see the show on 8/21 but it is not scheduled on the calendar. If it will not play every night then I have to rearrange my dining reservations.

The Welcome show begins 5 minutes before the official park opening, regarldess of extra magic hours so if the park opens at 9am then the Welcome show will start at 8:55am.

Yes it will run every single night (weather permitting). The calendar just hasn't been updated yet.

Though above post is correct recent change to bag check and where the opening show takes place i would get to the car park for 8am so you can get through bag check ferry or monorail and get inside the park in time for the show

We leave in 25 days and it isn't updated for us yet either. Seems to be the norm now from what I hear.
