This is my first post. So please take it easy on me....

IF you had to eliminate one of the MK mountains (space, splash, or thunder) which one would you choose and why?

First of all, I love all 3 rides. But, this is an easy question for me. Space Mountain is my favorite ride of all-time and BTMRR has that classic Disney feel to it. I would have to vote to eliminate Splash mountain.

What do y'all think?

Good question (but also a tough one). Of the three mountains, I think that Space Mountain is the coolest looking structure, but it's the worst attraction of the three on the inside. Am I cheating if I say, keep the outside structure intact but replace it with a better coaster and effects inside?

If i had to get rid of one, i'd say Big Thunder Mountain, because it is like space mountain, but in my opinon a little less fun, i like riding in the dark more.

I'd keep Splash mountain because it's a flume ride and different then the other two.
I'd keep Space Mountain because it is an old favorite that i couldn't live without.

Ugh, huh? I didn't hear the question. I, um, have to use the restroom. Uh, I didn't have my hand up!

OK, seriously, I'd rather die than see one of these torn down. Ok, I made that up.

But REALLY seriously, that is a ridiculously hard question. Each has it's authenticity, and of the three, nowadays Splash is actually my favorite overall attraction. However, taking into consideration the history of the three, I'd have to agree and say that Splash would have to go.

Ugh, that was hard to type. LOL I would never vote for any of the above if given the choice. They are three of my all-time favorites, and I love the all dearly.

Playing the devil's advocate it would be btm. Splash mountain has a catchy song, is one of the last animatronics, still has a thrill to it even at the grand old age of 16, and cools you off on a hot day

Space mountain has awesome effects, a good soundtrack, funny SMTV, and a good exit ride.

BTM is good, but doesn't measure up in this scenario.

That's WAY too hard! I guess I like Space (nostalgic) and Splash (that's just classic) the most. . . maybe turn Big Thunder into the Western River Expedition? :p

Very difficult choice. I'd have to go with BTMRR. For one I simply love Space Mountain, and besides that, removing it would create an imbalance of attractions in the park. Disney can't afford to lose anything else from tomorrowland. As for keeping Splash, it is the one attraction at Disney that tells it's story the best. Splash Mountain is probably the most engaging attraction at Disney. Big Thunder, while a classic, I think is the lesser of the three. Mind you, BTMRR is still one of the best rides ever.

HAHA! If only Grizz! Can we do that to DCA and Imagination too?

I'd have to go with Big Thunder as well. It really just comes down to BT and Space, and BT just seems like the less popular of the two.

If only you included ANY other attractions! It's like saying whether Disneyland MK or WDW MK is better!

Wait, I change my vote to TR Under New Management! Hanging Chads! Pandemonium at the polls! WHO VOTED FOR 20K AND TOAD? GET OUTTA HERE!

BTMRR, sorry wildest ride in the widerness...................... but maybe things would be different if you were a dark ride and little highlight lights on the rock exterior and a black light on some of the other parts of the attraction.

but SM and SM are not to be touched in my book.

I think splash is only 12. They had their 10th anniversary when I worked there in 2002. I believe it opened in July of 1992.

As for my choice of what to eliminate. Is none of the above a choice? That would be mine!

Seriously though, I could never vote for splash because it holds a very special place in my heart from my cp. The other two are equally important though. Thunder was the first coaster that I actually liked, but space is among my favorites now. If I had to pick (and only IF), I'd have to say space mountain. As much as I love space, it just doesn't hold the same special place in my heart as thunder and splash.

Good question. It was very hard to answer!

Thunder Mountain, but of course None is the right answer. I rode Splash Mountain for the 1st time last week and it was a blast - and the look on my sons face in the pic that they took is priceless. And what would WDW look like without Space Mountain as part of the view as you arrive / move around the park. I was dissapointed enough to see the changes to Disney as it was .

This is a tough question. Its terrible to think of any of the rides being taken down but if i had to chose it would be thunder mountain. Splash Mountain is onme of my favorite and most elaborate rides in Walt Disney World. I love the story line and music. On the other hand Space Mountain is very kool with its unizque seating and indoor ark ride. Dont get me wrong i lovvvve big thunder but thats the one i would have to chose.

What a sick and tricky question. I have so many wonderful memories of all the rides. If I had to chose 1, I guess it would have to be Big Thunder, but I think it would be a very sad day if they ever destroyed Big Thunder. Could we just trade our Space Moutain track for the one they have in Paris?

Try riding BTMRR in the dark on Eride or MVMCP or MNSSHP, much better than Space, particularly because you do get some good airtime and you really can't see in those canyons.
