What is the song that they sing for the morning ceremony? goes something like " Good Morning, Good Mooooorrrrrrrning..." thats all i remember. I was watching seinfeld the other day, and Elaine came into Jerrys apartment singing the same song i think. anyway, that makes me think its from something else. If anyone knows what the song is, where its from (besides MK) or what the words are, please let me know.

Show goes as follows:

1. "Most Magical Place on Earth"
A kingdom full of endless dreams for every girl and boy
Wondr'ous lands of make-believe will fill your heats with joy...
A castle leads the entrance way to several lands and more...
Step inside our storybook! Imagine what's in store!

Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls! Welcome to the Magic Kingdom!

It's all pure magic wrapped up in pixie dust
Welcome to a place where dreams come true
A timeless journey through lands of fantasy
Where only a wish creates dreams like this to appear
The most magical place on earth is here!

2. The announcer (reporter/mayor/etc) comes out. . . along with Main Street dancers who sing "GOOD MORNIN'!" - as heard in SINGIN' IN THE RAIN and MELVIN MOOSE'S BREAKFAST REVUE at the old Pioneer Hall in Fort Wilderness.

Good morning, good morning
Sun beams are shinin' through
Good mornin. . . good mornin' to you. . .

Good morning.... good morning to you!

(It's longer than that, of course)

3. Railroad theme anticipating Mickey and the Gang: Songs: Casey Junior/Zip-a-dee-Doo-Dah and then a mix of both which sync very well...

4. Mickey arrives with guests of honor to open the Magic Kingdom!

5. Countdown!

6. It opens!!

7. Most Magical Place on Earth reprise

8. Mickey Mouse March theme plays. . . :)

Great show. :p

Oh right. You wanted lyrics.

Good Mornin'. Good Mornin'.
We've talked the whole night through.
Good Mornin'. Good Mornin' to you.
Good Mornin'. Good Mornin'.
It's great to stay up late.
Good Mornin'. Good Mornin' to you.

When the band began to play
The stars were shining bright.
Now the milkman's on his way.
It's too late to say good night.

So Good Mornin'. Good Mornin'.
Sunbeams will soon smile through.
Good Mornin'. Good Mornin'
To you and you and you and you.

Good Mornin'. Good Mornin'.
We've gabbed the whole night through.
Good Mornin'. Good Mornin' to you.

(Nothin' could be grander than to be in Louisiana)
In the Mornin'... In the Mornin'.
It's great to stay up late.
Good Mornin'. Good Mornin' to you.
(Might be just as zippy if we was in Missisippi.)

When we left the movie show
The future wasn't bright.
But came the dawn, the show goes on,
And I don't wanna say good night.

So say Good Mornin'. Good Mornin'!
Rainbows are shining through.
Good Mornin'. Good Mornin'.
Good Mornin' to you...

Get there a little early - - I know people who have cried during the Opening Ceremony.

I admit, I do listen to it on the way to work now and again. . . :lookaroun

I cry during the intro and closing to Share a Dream Come True and cry during the castle goodnight kiss. I have no actually watched the opening ceremony cause I have only opened Magic Kingdom once and I hid in the break room as to not be trampled.

Geez...Grizz. How in the world do you know all that?

I have never heard, or ever seen this. I thought for a while it didn't even exist. What time does it start? Do they do it everyday?

When have they started making the show mandatory..

I feel like a mouse watching that show. It is very cheesy and makes me laugh so hard at its low level of... magic.

Its ok to have it.. But don't trap 400 guests into a little area. They don't even open the rest of the park till its over.

Thumbs Down.

The show OPENS the Magic Kingdom, meaning, you'd normally be waiting behind the ticket lines without a show.

This is just an added touch that most feel to be entertaining while waiting in line (9 minutes), or, like many have expressed here, VERY magical!

Love the music and the train with characters. Most kids get an awe out of seeing Mickey open the park. . . and most guests who see it are actually there a tad late, in security checks or still behind the ticket line and coming out of the monorail station (as I was, sadly, last time).

I wish the music was done with a more "whole" bad, if you know what I'm talking about. This does not include the Mickey Mouse March which goes all out!

Unfortunately I was one of the heathens who couldn't wait for the opening ceremony to be over so I could start running for the rides. I kept moving around where the rope was trying to position myself for the best angle to run for it as soon as it dropped. Yes, I know. Must hang head in shame.

Ive never experienced this, but Ive seen a video over the web. I think its weird cuz most people wanna get to the rides as fast as they can, and once Mickey opens the gate, all these people run over him trying to get to the best rides.

Do they do this EVERY day. Cuz Ive always wondered how they opened the parks. Do they have shows for the other parks to.

No one runs over Mickey - - he's at the top of the train center with the whole cast while the guests are on the ground floor.

Hey, if you don't want a show, then wait for 9 minutes without one.

That's so cool that they do a show at the Magic Kingdom. Last time I saw MK open, it was still just the "Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah" announcement.

When I was at Epcot for the opening this past January, they didn't have any music or announcement. Just drop the rope and a mass marathon run for Mission: Space.

At the Animal Kingdom, however, they have everyone line up in front of the Tree of Life with the road to Africa on the left and DinoLand on the right. Minnie, Goofy, and Pluto come out in a Safari vehicle and go over their checklist. But where's their safari guide? Can't imagine whom that could be. In the distance, from the base of the Tree of Life Mickey rises from an ascending lookout post. Then Minnie and the gang, along with some cast members and selected guests holding a rope behind the vehicle, lead those going to Kilimanjaro Safaris with music and song, but I can't remember what the music was. Good idea in my opinion 'cause it keeps people from running to Harambe. And it was cool walking over as the characters would come out (Lilo, Stitch, Baloo, & Louie) to wave to the crowd. The whole thing is a fun little production in my opinion, even if it's slightly cheesy. :) But cheesy in a magical way. ;)

Does Disney-MGM Studios have anything to open? Oh! And where can I find that video of the MK opening? I'd love to see it.

Thanks!
Joe

Do these openingc cermonies occur for EMH as well, or is it just for normal openings?

If this Park after Dark concept comes to fruitation, we might not have to worry about this anyway since EMH could be gone; but I was just curious.

Geeeez that's a crappy way to look at it. As Grizz said, if they didn't have it you'd still be waiting behind the turnstiles without any entertainment or ceremony. It doesn't take anymore time than you'd already be spending, so be thankful they decided to spend hte money to great an opening show.

Also there is one at AK as well, in front of the Tree of Life around 9ish, we usually let folks into AK about 8:50 then there is "The Awakening" in front of the Tree.

Sorry that you don't enjoy the show, but there are plenty of otehr people who do :)

The show is a nice way to start a day at the MK...

I was waiting once for the park to open, and had forgotten they had a "opening show", (I had never seen it before) and I thought it was nice...so did most people around me...all the characters that come in the train are waiting for guest around the flag pole and train station area for one huge early mornin' meet and greet....I guess the last part is fun for the kiddies...fine by me since I pass all them people as I head to Tomorrowland...hehe

The song is catchy too....:D

We were there in March and we had scheduled a Keys to the Kingdom Tour, and since we were early (the park was not opened yet), they let us in and told us to go walk around, it was so great to see the park with virtually no one in it. It was so great to walk down Main Street and just gaze at the castle, without being ran over. Anyhow, we were setting at one of the benchs by the train station and we got to hear the opening, and then the people stated flying in.....But, it was great.
