MK is packed to the rafters today!!

Just escaped the madness that is the MK today ,we stayed for the parade and a quick Philharmagic seating to cool off but it's absolute madness there today,40 mins min for rides.Went to see Monsters Inc. last night and I thought it was great, I didn't realize it was going to be interactive like TT.You can text message jokes and they might use them in your showing.Sorry if this has been mentioned already. Anyone have any updates on if Stitch is going to get his own float (or at least show up) in Spectromagic parade? Thats it for now.

Hmmm...It wasn't bad later this evening. The longest we waited for anything was probably Splash Mountain which was about 20-30 minutes because it broke down for a little while. Other than that we practically walked on to everything else. The only thing that had a ridiculous wait was Space Mountain which had an 80 minute wait around 10:45 PM.

It didn't seem that packed, of course I did get there about 8:30, so that might have had something to do with it. The longest wait I had was a 20 minute for BTM.

I also live in Duval and my spring break was this past week. My gf and I went to Universal on monday, seaworld tuesday, IOA Wednesday, and All the disney parks on thursday. We did go to mgm and epcot at night on tues, and wednes also. But In contrast to everything everyone has written here, the parks were all rather empty! I think the longest we waited on anyline anywhere was maybe 20 mins, excluding soarin' but we have been on it a bunch so skipped that. UCF and Valencia's spring break was the weekend before, so be missed most of the local kids. But for the next couple weeks crowds will prolly be awful, you all missed the boat this past week im tellin ya, they were empty!

We went last year during Easter. Never again! It was sooo packed it wasn't even worth it. Why would anybody go down during March break is beyond me. But then again I did it for Easter! :hammer:

How does this affect the water parks. Does anybody know whether these are extremely crowded as well. I figured now that both parks are open that the crows levels at should not be to bad.

In Canada the March break has been over for 2 weeks. I heard on the radio someone said "we just came back from disney". There was something else that they said that really bugged me.

This probably doesn't have a huge effect on crowds, but the Catholic schools, like the one I teach at, are all off the week after Easter. I know of a couple of families heading down there that week.

Most of the local schools (Duval) are FINISHING spring break tomorrow, but there are just as many schools STARTING spring break this weekend. (I know of a certain NY teacher who is there right now  )So, you experienced the overlap of both groups.

Hey Mom...

Are you in Duval? I'm just down in Clay...and my kids were off this week, too. I know that the Catholic school in Clay isn't off until the week after next.

It is really the mixing of a few events at the same time.

This weekend was the party weekend for the schools down for the music completions (choirs and bands). Friday and Saturday were their last days here.

It is also a weekend for Senior Trips to WDW (at least 6 schools were here, one with over 260 seniors).

It is also the end/start of some school's Spring Break. Many school arrived on Saturday to start their vacation(s).

On another note: Disney Channel is going to be filming at the Sports Complex during the week of 22 - 27 April.

I was there and I didn't think it was too crowded. After all, I have been there for NYE and July 4th. They still had fastpasses available at 10 o clock for some rides.

Not necessarily, DisneyLover... Public schools in Québec had their break during the last week of February, meanwhile private schools have two weeks starting last weekend.

Every province/state/county/town/block seems to have different break dates. Which is why crowds can be bonky for well over two months at WDW (or longer, depending on the timing of Easter).

Most North Florida and South Georgia public schools just got out for SB on Friday. At least the ones around here and the ones back home any way. And I'm going to assume quite a few (colleges too) from the mid west. We live in a spring break beach community and last weekend wasn't so bad, but the crowds at the beach and on the water this weekend were insane. And most of the plates we saw were either Atlanta area or Ohio, Indiana, Michigan area.

Overall, the waits got long a few times during the day, but most of them were not longer than 40-50 minutes, when I was walking around. They were pretty short after Spectromagic.

The only thing that had a ridiculous wait was Space Mountain which had an 80 minute wait around 10:45 PM.

I saw the Space wait top out at 120 minutes at about 6PM, because it had broken down. I think it broke down two or three times yesterday.
