My wife an I were having a relaxing stroll down Boardwalk. We came to the end (the end closest to The Swan & Dolphin) and decided to sit down on a bench. Just as we sat down the fireworks started at MK. You could see most of them over the Resort acroos the water and the reflextion of the fireworks on the water. It was great. It was our last evening there and it couldn't have been more magical.

I could be wrong, but I am thinking that you saw the fireworks from illuminations at epcot. Definitely a nice surprise for you non-the-less. My wife and I were sitting outside at the Big River Grill a few weeks ago and were treated to the same special treat on our last night there. I assumed they were from epcot as we watched the illuminations from outside of the gates of the world showcase two nights earlier (outside of beach club).

I agree, especially if you were sitting on a bench in the Epcot resort area. The MK is just too far away.

Now if you were on an upper level floor in a resort facing the right direction....

and the reflextion of the fireworks on the water.

If the reflections of the fireworks were on Crescent Lake, in the Epcot resorts area, those reflections were from Illuminations - MK is too far away to have reflections there!

We always stay in a villa at boardwalk that faces the lake and can see both illuminations and wishes every night. We have great views of Wishes so I would actually think it could be possible to see them from the ground if you were in the right spot. Either way I'm sure it was magical.

No it WAS the fireworks at MK. I was at the end of Boardwalk and could see then just to the right of the Dophin. That is the direction MK is in. Besides we then went back to Epcot and watched Illuminations.

I was facing North sitting on a bench on Boardwalk. Epcot is East from there and MK is North West where the FIREWORKS (colored and different types not like the white ones at Illuminations) came from. You CAN see them. Besides MK is less than 5 miles away and Florida is flat. It is very possible to see fireworks from that far away. Sheesh

We've seen Wishes over the trees from the World Showcase in December. So I'm sure there are a number of places they can be seen from in that area.

You are correct about seeing MK's fireworks. My wife and I stay at the BW at least twice a year and we always catch Illuminations and Wishes from the tables in front of the bakery. Wishes isn't the easiest to see but you can catch it.

I just noticed Wishes for the first time in Boardwalk, and while it is not the best view, it is cool to see Wishes and hear ROE's blasts going on.
