MK ~ Family of the Day....

Just saw someone in the timing rope drop thread say they wanted to be the MK family of the day. What is this? Do you get anything special? or just to help with the opening?

Sounds kinda neat. Anyone's family every been picked??

Typically they randomly pick a family to participate in the opening show at MK. You get to ride in on the train and wave at everyone. Looks like it would be fun, but there seems to be no rhyme or reason as to how they select families.

We were the AK family of the day once during the year of a million dreams.... The CM picked us and escorted us to K. Safari and we had our own car with the CM. It was neat! Talk about a great way to get to the front of the line!!

we were picked on our first morning during our last visit to the world.

There was lots of people already ahead of us we were just picked out randomly, although i think our wedding anniversary pins might of helped.

Also, the MK family of the day also leads the afternoon parade on most days. When they gave away the castle suite nightly a few years back, this was part of the experience of being picked to stay in the suite overnight.
