MK After Hours- how crowded? Should I swap parks?

I planned our week at Disney so that on Thursday, 4/21 we'd be at MK and at Epcot on Friday. An After Hours Event at MK was just announced for Thursday and I'm wondering how that might impact crowds. We are planning to stay for Wishes.

I was debating swapping those days, and doing Epcot Thursday and MK Friday. But- Epcot has EMH Thursday morning and on Friday morning, MK has EMH. We're staying offsite and can't take advantage of either. So I feel like no matter what, we're up against big crowds which I had oh-so-carefully planned to avoid!!

Do you think the crowds for this after hours event will be really bad? Bad enough to warrant going to the MK on Friday and Epcot on Thursday which both have morning EMH we can't attend?

Were planning to be at the parks at rope drop and doing as much as possible in the a.m. Arriving after a.m. EMH puts a serious kink in those plans. Help me decide! Thanks!!

*The decision is definitely between those 2 parks those 2 days, we'll have already been to the other parks by then and can't change those plans, due to family who will only be with us part of the trip.

Keep your plans. You won't notice a huge difference in crowds from 7 pm (when the event starts) to park closing. Remember, this is a pretty pricey event, most people aren't going to be excited pay $150 per person for a few hours after closing. Stake out a spot early for MSEP (if you want to watch it) and remain in that area for Wishes. Yes, MK will be crowded (it always is anymore) but manageable.

You will enjoy yourself much more if you don't stress about it. :) A busy day at Disney is better than a boring day at home!

There is no possible way that anyone can give you an accurate answer about increased crowds due to the after hours event. You have got to chill and just enjoy you trip. The parks are going to be crowded.
