Weather is gross and rainy here (thunderstorms this afternoon), and it's supposed to stay this way 'til Tuesday.Uponastar said:We got really lucky with the weather!
We had a brief shower while we were in transit between the bridal shop and the mall.
Other than that, the weather was really nice!
Still yucky up there, Betty?
That is exactly what I said would happen! :lol:Uponastar said:Thanks.
It was really emotional.
She picked out 8 dresses and tried them on in no particular order.
Turned out that the first dress she tried was the one.
Beautiful.
Which is exactly why I bought a $20 dress.Connor said:The all look the same, anyway.

Unlike someone . . .
Yeah - good thing we're leaving Thursday, or I'd have to kill someone by Monday.Uponastar said:Tuesday!!!
That's so depressing.
I actually started my clowning as a teen helping the Clowns from Almas Temple in DC. My Dad was a member of the Legion of Honor and we would always go to the Shriners Crippled Children's Hospital in Philly. I still do a bit of clowning but have pretty much retired from it due to my fibromyalgia and arthritis. Do face paint on accasion.Nemo14 said:Good morning all!
Trying to catch up on all of the doings last night.
Connor, the boy I take care of is currently reading Eldist and loves it! he got Eragon for Christmas and didn't take to it right away, but once he got into it, he couldn't put it down, whichis saying something for a boy who lives for Nintendo!
As far as clowns go, I have a funny clown story. When we first bought our house, we knew nothing about the neighbors of course. One morning, I was working out in the front yard and I saw a van park across the street, and out steps 4 clowns. 2 minutes later, another 2 arrived, followed by another carload, then another. I really thought I was in some kind of Candid Camera prank or something initiated by my practical-joker friends and husband, so I just ignored them and pretended everything was normal. They went into a neighbor's house, then a few minutes later, they all departed. I didn't even acknowledge to DH that I had seen them. A few weeks later, the same group arrived, and DH saw them. He came running in all excited, and I still thought it was some kind of set-up so I acted pretty non-chalant about it, determined not to give him the satisfaction of putting one over on me. After all, doesn't everyone have clowns? It wasn't 'til the neighbor came over to introduce himself that I realized that he was in fact a Shriner's clown, and his house was the meeting place for all his fellow clowns.:lol:
