Uponastar said:Has anyone had Eggo Banana Bread Waffles?
Yum! :slurp:
DisneyBunny said:Morning!
Never have. I make my own waffles en-masse and freeze them in batches. DH won't eat any other. (Not to mention that I also know an awesome recipe for pancakes - even better than the ones at IHOP. But don't tell anyone. I don't want people to get the wrong idea.) :lookaroun
Uponastar said:Morning, Bunny Dear!
DisneyBunny said:Morning! Did you get any of those nasty thunderstorms last night? Or were they only down our way?
Uponastar said:Yeah, we got a little thunder last night!
I want warmth!
It's winter jacket weather this morning! Bleh!
DisneyBunny said:Spring is such a tease! But I'm NOT turning that heat back on. Not with the proposed 70% BGE rate hike on the horizon.
Uponastar said:70%!![]()
Where will it end?
*Sighs*
Soon the air-conditioning bills will start!
Not much catch-up room!
Uponastar said:Since I found out where your avatar came from, Bunny, I'm immediately transported whenever I see it!
I love that!
Anything that takes me back "there", even for a moment, is greatly appreciated!
DisneyBunny said:Yup. 70%. Are you getting it up your way too, or is this a MD only thing?
DisneyBunny said:Perhaps I shouldn't mention my 25 days to go... :lookaroun
I'll be on the hunt for more good avatar pictures.
Uponastar said:We had a 19.4% rise this winter, which increased bills by approx. $335.00 on average for the season.
But because of the relatively mild winter, our bills were lower than last year.
Not sure what's coming up for this year with increases.
DisneyBunny said:BGE has had a price freeze for the past nine years, and apparently that wears off in July, when we get exposed to the market rates. People are lobbying to get some kind of relief, but I don't think it'll work. Plus, we're on gas heat, and that bill went sky high this winter. We all had to get used to a lot of sweaters, and a lot of warm drinks.
Uponastar said:Let's hope for a mild winter, then!![]()
I was lucky this year.
Our gas bills averaged $50.00 a month. (We live in a small condo.)
Our electric bill will be at least 3 times that over the summer months though.
DisneyBunny said:Indeed! I held out on turning the heat on until Thanksgiving week this year. Until then, we just leached warmth from our neighbors. Sometimes living mid-group is worth it!
Uponastar said:Bunny, it was nice chatting with you!
You're a wonderful addition to this thread!
I have a lot to do this morning, so I better get to it!
Hope your day at work flies by!
Talk with you later!
