Never have. I make my own waffles en-masse and freeze them in batches. DH won't eat any other. (Not to mention that I also know an awesome recipe for pancakes - even better than the ones at IHOP. But don't tell anyone. I don't want people to get the wrong idea.) :lookaroun

Spring is such a tease! But I'm NOT turning that heat back on. Not with the proposed 70% BGE rate hike on the horizon.

Yup. 70%. Are you getting it up your way too, or is this a MD only thing?

We had a 19.4% rise this winter, which increased bills by approx. $335.00 on average for the season.
But because of the relatively mild winter, our bills were lower than last year.
Not sure what's coming up for this year with increases.

Our gas bills averaged $50.00 a month. (We live in a small condo.)
Our electric bill will be at least 3 times that over the summer months though.

Indeed! I held out on turning the heat on until Thanksgiving week this year. Until then, we just leached warmth from our neighbors. Sometimes living mid-group is worth it!

I know what you mean!
We live on the third floor.
On the first floor is an elderly couple who keep their heat cranked up unbelievably high. I know they help heat our place. I can only imagine what their bills are like!
