Right now I need to run Andrew to work and do some errands, so I will see you all later theis afternoon (when I can hopefully catch up on the 4 zillion posts I missed; Though I suspect I may just have to give up on that....)

Betty, hope you and Dave are feeling better!
Bonny, can't wait for the surprise!
Joanna, Bunny and Susan!
Hello to you!
EDIT: Oops! I believe Joe is around somewhere, too. Hi Joe!

How's everything?
Uponastar said:Pretty good, thanks!
We go to check out another hall tonight.
We'll see how that goes.![]()
How did the rest of your weekend go after Saturday's rainy debacle?
Nemo14 said:Good morning Dot. Feeling better today and DH went back to work!:sohappy:
Hang in there Bunny! We've probably all been through in-law situations like that. My inlaws were insulted when DH and I didn't plan a big family party to celebrate our first anniversary (what were we thinking?!!!)DisneyBunny said:Another hall? So the one you were looking at before has some competition?
We left early on Sunday. Just too much togetherness. Plus DH's brother can be rather arrogant, and it grates on the nerves after a while. Now the big drama is about Easter, and how we're being guilted into Easter dinner because, after all, she can't see my DH on his birthday.

It seems to be more of a mother-son thing I think. My MIL actually told my BIL on his wedding day that it was not too late to change his mind.DisneyBunny said:I'm sure they'll want us to go away for our anniversary. More opportunities to give them more grandkids. I guess situations like those happen in every family.
Uponastar said:Oh, I thought I told you. Sorry.
The first hall was very nice but only offered a 4 hour reception with no extra time for a ceremony or photos. That won't work for us. The caterer who services that hall has offered us a comparable deal but with a 5 hour reception at another location. That's what we're going to look at tonight.
Sorry Bunny.
In-laws!![]()
I guess a little give-and-take won't hurt. As long as she realizes she has to bend a little too.

No she was serious. Sad but true. He was the first to leave home (all 3 of them lived at home through and after college), and she just couldn't handle it.DisneyBunny said:Whaaaa?Tell me she was joking, right?
DisneyBunny said:I thought the first hall would work with you? I got confused. Hope Hall #2 works out well!
DisneyBunny said:My MIL will never bend. It's not in her nature. Before the holidays she sat us down and talked about how as a whole family we all need to make new traditions, and slowly get rid of the old ones.... except she didn't want to get rid of any of HER traditions, she just meant mine. :brick: :brick:
