Hi Jess! Those pics were adorable!:)

:D Glad you liked them! She's so silly.

Hello Jess. How was the duck pond?

We had to skip it... Jay called and needed me to pick up a couple of checks and drop off an invoice across town so we did that instead. Ran out of time to get groceries before kiddo's nap. As it was she cried the last 15 minutes of the way home... she was soooo sleepy. :o

I know and only 5 hours til my flight! :sohappy: Except my pre-flight jitters have begun. :(

Awwww... just think of everything you have to look forward to this weekend! :sohappy:

Susie... now that people can stay late/go early into the parks if they stay onsite... many people have stopped purchasing the park hopper option and instead make good use of the EMH's. It's an additional $48 per ticket so it really can add up for a big family!

Nibbs... that's a really smart plan... the EMH parks are usually much quieter the morning after...

You'll be fine - "keep your eyes on the prize" as they say...

Thanks girls, I know it's totally worth it. I go through this whenever I fly and then by the time I get on the plane I'm fine. Tonight should be fun, we're meeting a group of my old friends out in the city. :)

Sorry the ducks didn't work out, Jess. I'm sure they'll be hungry a different day. :)

I will have to check all that out because our last trup we didn't use the EMHs. The parks that we wanted to go to wasn't the parks that had the EMHs for the days we were there. We were there only 3 days. So that had something to do with it. The time before that we were there 5 days but offsite.

Nibbs why aren't people buying the PH tickets anymore? To me that is the way to go. We switch back and forth between parks on several of our days. That is why I am asking.
I think most people now a days are doing 2 things. 1. They aren't doing their research very well...that's how my family would be. They don't know that the PH is available to purchase. They think they can just go to one park per day. 2. It's a money issue. It costs less to not get the PH...so if you're on a tight budget...which most families are...you are more apt to lean towards getting the cheapest tickets possible. To most people...cost is the essential factor.

That's why I avoid the EMH parks if possible. You have the people who only get one park per day tickets who go to that specific park because it's got the longest hours...but you also have the people who do have PH who come over later in the day to take advantage of EMH.

 But what if the duckies STARVE?! They might have been counting on us! :lookaroun

I tease. These are some fat over fed ducks anyways. They could use a day off. ;)

IMHO if you go for 5 or more days... I say get the hopper and skip all the EMH's... but if you have to cram alot into a short amount of time... then the EMH's are a great way to get alot done. Especially if you stay right up until park closing. Then you can knock out several big rides in that last hour!

That was exactly my point. Most people are influenced by the price...so they won't get things they don't think they need. Me...I'd much rather get the PH because it's the smart thing to do. Don't like the crowds at one park...go to the next.

and the EMH thing...I've learned that by reading here...and personal experience.

Interesting. I didn't think of that. Oh well, AK usually isn't a full day and I like to use the rest of the day to go back and do other stuff. :king:
Good tip though Nibbs!

Yep there's definately up sides to both. You can save alot by skipping out on the PH... but to some (me included) it's worth the extra money to have the freedom to choose a different park if one seems to crazy...

Heck, I just skip it all and get the AP then it really pays off. You save $$ by going more... you have the option of EMH's (if staying onsite of course) and yet you can still skip around parks if you want to. LOL

There's a good alternative for everyone. :)

I may have to rethink the our itinerary...that's been done since January. We have a couple of EMH days planned. My problem is that I always do the parks in a certain order. MK is always first for me...but it'll be a Thursday (which is always busy there anyway) plus an EMH day. Maybe not a good idea. I need to look at the calendar again now anyway since it's getting closer. Back when I figured everything out, it only showed Spectromagic on 2 of the nights we're there.

I really wish I could get an AP!!! That is so on my list for something I want for the future.

He's hooked!

 He's been hooked... he's almost as bad as I am... just not enough time on his hands to sit around and talk about it. ;) LOL He'll call me randomly throught the day and ask me if I want to have dinner at Ohana tonight... or he'll text me saying "Go get FP's for ToT I'll be home in an hour." Or whenever we've had a bad week... he'll say... "Let's just drain our accounts and go live at WDW for a few months." He's always looking forward to that next trip.

I thought that but didn't want to say anything. :lookaroun

  :lookaroun

Well are you going to take him up on it?

Yes. But I have a problem. We always go the first two weeks of May. We have every year since 2001 (except for the summer i was pregs) and we'd already planned on going back this year. Insert MIL: "My company picnic is May 5 and I expect Lizzy to be there." She KNEW we'd already planned to go. But we were gone last year for her company picnic and she threw a major hissy fit. Apparently that's her one time a year to show off her grandbaby... Whatever.

Part 2. So we go a week later right? No. BIL's college graduation from Clemson is the following weekend. And we're expected to be there too. Which is also my birthday weekend...

Anyway. so now we have to figure out which (if any) event's we're skipping. Which we'll be making it to, and somehow fit in our vacation before the third week of May when it get's crazy down there. If we push it back into April we'll be getting alot of left over spring breakers... so we've always loved the first two weeks of May... it's like a 2 week transition where the parks are almost as empty as hurricane season.

LOL Listen to me complaining... I know I know, count my blessings at least we get to go. I'm trying. :o
