Jess, Dana, and Rick, quick question - and I don't really expect you to know the answer - but what kind of crib do you have? Does it have stationary sides? Who made it, and if you don't mind my asking, how much did you pay for it?

I'm adrift in the sea of baby products and have no idea where to start.

we have a white one............that's all I got! Sorry!

Actually it was the same one my wife was in when she was a baby, so its old, I mean not old, its .......in the best years of its life (in case she reads this)

All the books say NEVER EVER use an old crib. They're just not as safe...

Mine is a white Jenny lind Convertible crib.......The front comes down and it turns into a toddler bed........

My aunt bought it at Penneys for $400..:eek:

Has Maggie EVER slept in it?...NO!!...Is it still in the box?...YES!!..She sleeps in the pack and play in my room...we have a SMALL apt.....

It is beautiful though......

One word of advice.... read the books, take what you can, but trust your God given instincts. Woman have successfully been raising children long before all these books were written.

I'm sifting through all the info, but it's just so much! I'm normally not the kind of person who's all uptight about using old things. I mean, I'm a garage sale kinda girl, but I draw the line at certain things.

Plus, we're not looking to get every single thing under the sun for Sprout. Just the nessesities.
