Stacey stopped over a while ago. She was telling us more stories about her autistic kids class. Her group is non-verbal. That doesn't mean they can't talk. Just that they don't. Everyday is a rewarding adventure with these children. Being in a learning environment makes all the difference. They absorb! Even the ones who seem to be deeply within themselves respond to being with other kids and teachers who know how to get through to them.
Stacey had me in tears. I'm so proud of what she's doing. And I'm so happy for those kids. . .they've got the best teacher!!!!!
