OT: Looks like Bush is asking for another $245 BILLION dollors to fund the wars over the next 2 years. :fork: That's insane. Seems to me, that amount of money could do alot of good in our own country (ie. Katrina victims).

Ok, done. *jumps off soap box* :lookaroun

Oh dear... 10 days?! Lizzy was 3 days late and I must have walked 30 miles at the mall during those 3 days trying to get my labor to hurry up. I was in labor for 3 days! (nothing incredibly painful, just very slow contractions) and people would laugh when i went into the office to get some last minute work done and would ask me how i was feeling: "oh i'm in labor but I wanted to get this finished up" Insert dropped jaws.

Oh, I had lots of long shirts I wore so you never could have seen anything. Then I guess you need to get in some shopping! (If y'all have a Motherhood Maternity close by that's a great place to start out - their prices are much less than alot of maternity stores... and they have great sale racks!)

I just realized... sprout and lizzy could have the same birthday! (8/29) Crazy!

Lizzy was a roller, a kicker, a soccer player and a bit of a baseball player all thrown in.

Aww..Suck it up.....

I had a c section and the epidural did not work...I felt the whole thing..
Kinda shocked the Dr when he told me once you can feel your feet you can go see her...and I said..WHAT?..I can could feel the whole time and started kicking.......

LMAO Jenny you're awesome.

Yep... My days went like this... walk 10 steps... bend over and hold my breath for 30 seconds (while the contraction passed) Walk 10 more steps... same thing... And that's what I did... for 3 days straight. Of course when I finally agreed to go to the hospital (I held out forever not wanting to be sent home) it was walk 2 steps... BREATHE... walk 2 steps... BREATHE.

Amen.

I wish. Once I got there I had to push for 2 1/2 hours solid (not that that's all that horrible, but it was exhausting) b/c kiddo got stuck and I refused to agree to a Csection unless she was in danger. They kept asking and asking - and I told them as long as she was ok I would just keep pushin... eventually it paid off. Fun times fun times.

Jay always makes fun of me because I say that I'll be asking for a C-section. I have no desire to have a certain area stretched out beyond all recognition and never return to normal. I also think stiches on the belly are much easier to care for than stiches somewhere else

Something beautiful to replace a loss. I'm so happy for you Bunny!

That's so true!

I had a midwife team that gave me enough advice (which i won't post here... but would be glad to share should you ever need it... in a PM) so that I knew I wouldn't have to get stitches at all... and I didn't. Annnnnd way TMI but things do return to normal. I assure you.

Mine too. Hands down.

I had DD (9 1/2 lbs.) naturally with no pain meds, and DS by C-section. Trust me the recovery from the section was 10 times worse!!!!!

That area actually goes back to normal fairly quickly, and the stitches dissolve pretty quick too. It's your midsection that has trouble shrinking again, because it's been stretched for months.
So, have I completely grossed out any man that might stumble onto this conversation?

Where's Rick when you need him? He would just love this conversation!

 THANK GOD FOR ONSITE CONSTRUCTION MEETINGS THIS MORNING!!!!!!

I agree. I supported our decision to go after Osama, whom they still haven't found BTW, but not this. And since political discussion are off-limits, that's all I'll say. BUT there are a lot better choices our gov't could be spending OUR money on...

Oops, didn't know that about the political discussions...thanks for the newbie heads-up. :) I have to say that's a relief that they're off-limits...I'm actually a very apolitical person, but that really made me mad.

I was gonna ask, what'd I miss, I'm glad I didn't!

How are you today Jenny?

Sorry Steph, didn't mean to scare you - believe me it is all worth it! And if you have a good anesthesiologist, epidurals will be your friends!

I'm good Rick, just watching the occasional snow showers out my window, and watching The Two Towers too....you didn't get any of that bad weather down there, did you?

It rained all day yesterday and this morning its just cold and gray, very depressing. Both meetings were in Clay construction sites so my beautiful black car looks like a Halloween nightmare. No bad weather. We are ussually pretty lucky with Tornados, we'll get a water spout but when it hits land it fizzles out. Weather is interesting here from June 1 to Nov 30th!
Two Towers, you'd think I was a fan, but I couldn't follow them, I have seen the first and the second and only parts of the third and they could never hold my interest. I like them, I just can't quote them with you...

I can quote Ground Hog Day though!!!!
