Is this restaurant currently open? I read that a new version is in the works....will it be open Sept 2 - Sept 9 when I will be there?

I am 99% certain it is still being refurbished and will still be closed during your trip. If you must have teppanyaki there is a Kobe at the Crossroads Shopping center which is across the street from the Hotel Plaza Blvd entrance to WDW.

we had a res. there for Sept. 16th and had to change it.

At least until mid-October. I've been taking pics (what little I can get of it) every so often. But it isn't even guaranteed yet for mid-October. I hope it's done by then, though.

Yes it is but if you really want that type of restaurant Kobe at the Crossroads is at most a 15 minute cab ride from anywhere on property.

I belive it's not sceduled to open until the end of October now. We had reservations for Oct 14th, and Disney called us and canceled them, we had to choose another place to eat.

The last I saw, it was mid-October. But it could definitely change again at anytime.
