Mission: Space

What is the thrill difference between the green and orange Mission: Spaces?
Night and day difference. If you have a weak stomach or get headaches, do not go on orange. It actually spins. The green doesn't spin, but it's still fun.

Agree with ratherbeinwdw.
If you are prone to motion sickness, avoid this. I have issues with the ride and will never ever going back.
I posted my experience here

The force of the spin "pins" you to your seat. Don't close your eyes. You'll get dizzy. Keep your head back against the head rest, and enjoy the feeling of taking off into space. The orange is intense! If you have any health conditions at all, it is recommended that you ride the less "intense" green version, which to me defeats the purpose!:( The orange has "barf bags" near your seat! It's like riding the Gravitron at the carnival, only you're in a seat instead of standing. At Kings Dominion in the 70's and 80's, they had a ride called the Time Shaft. You "stuck" to the wall while the floor dropped. It's also a bit like the Roundup at the carnival as well. You really can't tell that you're spinning. If you look at the screen, it really feels like you're taking off into space!:) I like others recommendations here to go ahead and ride the green 1st. Either way, enjoy!:)

I remember the first time I rode MS it was getting later in the evening. After the ride I hurried across Future World trying to get to ride Imagination. Just as I walked up, the CM's closed and latched the doors. I told them it wasn't fair. I had just been stranded on Mars by Disney and had to walk all the way back. They should at least let me it. They were not impressed! I wonder why? :p:D
Maybe they were from Venus...heard them Venicians just don't get along with them Martians these days...probably jealous over all the recent attention we earthings are giving the Martians...plus Mars has two moons

Been riding since soft openings, before there was Orange/Green. We've never even considered trying Green. Love it, ride multiple times in a row if the lines are short. Always lots of fun. I'm 52, so getting older doesn't matter, it's a great ride.

The intensity of the ride hasn't changed from day one.

Rule #1 - Breathe!! This will help you more than anything.
Rule #2 - Keep your head back, don't try to lean forward or look side to side
Rule #3 - Keep your eyes open

It is an intense ride due to the sustained G forces. I think it's one of the coolest ride concepts that ever made it to reality.

For those that don't know... the ride vehicles shake, and can rotate to tilt you forward and back. These vehicles are then on a centrifuge which spins the entire thing around to create the G forces. Green is the same thing, without the centrifuge spinning, so without the extra G forces. So you still get the movement, tilt, shake, etc.. just none of the G forces except for what it feels like to lean forward/back :)

Green ange actually provides a pretty 'animated' experience

I find that, for me, the thing that helps the most is leaving some space between me and the restraint. I've had them insist I pull it lower, so I position myself out a little and really push my belly out to make it appear more snug. When it is all closed up, I re-position.

If you have large bosoms and that thing is clamped down on them, it gets hard to take nice, deep breaths...just when you need them the most.

I dont mean to be indelicate. This may or may not help someone else. That's the intention, anyway.

Mission space makes me want to die after I go on it...we did it three or four times over the past three or four trips and finally I said I'm don't with this ride the last trip. It just makes me want die after I get off it for the rest of the day

Interesting choice of words given that the attraction is said to have contributed to actual fatalities...

It just makes me feel claustrophobic and panicky, more than anything. My husband LOVES it but I just don't ... it's like the second I get in there, I want out.

Maybe it is just me but I don't feel much difference between the green and orange. DH gets motion sickness though and he can tell the difference so we do the green. Doesn't matter much too me, green is usually the shorter line anyway and that is what I'm interested in.
