since my trip this year is going to be the first one where i will have the oppurtunity to ride Mission: SPACE, i have some questions.

How bad is it?

i've heard so many mixed reviews of it, some loving it, some hating it

im quite the thrill junkie, and no ride has ever made me feel sick (except for getting a headache on some exceptionally rough roller coasters). So, do you think i should give it a try, or what?

there are 2 different versions, i have only done the easiest of the 2 and it wasn't bad at all. this was back in 2006 i don't know if its change since then.

If you're a thrill junkie and in good health, go for it.

My DS and I have been riding since it opened, we've never even considered wasting our time on the green version - Orange all the way! :D

I you can handle Test Track, Splash Mountain, and RnRC, you can probably handle Mission: SPACE.
When it first opened, it was MUCH more intense (4Gs) than it is now (1.5 Gs, I think).
Just be sure you always stare straight forward and don't close your eyes and you'll probably be fine.

M:S Orange has not changed in intensity since it opened... I would have certainly noticed a reduction by more than half of the G-forces.

Everything I've heard indicates that the Orange version remains as it was the day it officially opened, which is about two and a half Gs on launch.

ok cool thanks for clearing that up
A quote from Steve on the subject:

This isnt what is being referred to. People are constantly saying that the original gforce version has been toned down in intensity. This is not the case, nor has it ever been. The original version has never changed since being in Orlando.

The alternate version is a different experience altogether.
