Does anyone know officially how many Gs are being pulled on your body @ Mission Space? We tried to ask two CM and no one would tell us. They said they were not allowed.:brick:

But with the way your set up in the pod for take off it feels upwards of 3.5-5.0.

I cant imagine it being 5 since that is basically what real launch is for the shuttle. We would need G suits to keep from blacking out. I can see sustained 2.5 to 2.6 maybe but beyond that it would be to to much

Disney I would imagine can control the speed "throttle" of it but hey I could be wrong on the whole thing :)

Im honestly not worried about it, but it feels a lot more heavy on me....But youve got to remember, Ive got a satchel and a leather Commander Jacket on...and that jacket isnt exactly a feather either as it is.

I was on this ride two weeks after the grand opening and it was killer, then I was there 2 weeks ago and could tell that they toned it down big time. Plus added barf bags, as well as stated that the ride spins around during pre flight instructions. They never did that the last time I was on it.

The space shuttle pulls about 2.5-3 G's. Also, your body can withstain up to 5 G's.

there were more "protien spills" than they thought there would be. Many people who know that they get sick on a cetrifuge had no idea that this ride was executed like that to get the G force sensation.

It feels more intense then 2.5 also because it is a consistent 2.5. Rollercaoster experence specially older arrow coaster experience more G, but it is only for a split second.

I remember a couple of years ago, after a night of partying, going on the Great American Scream Machine at Six Flags Great Adventures. I remember blacking out for a few split second on the second and third loop. I didn't feel sick but it made the ride more intense on my brain.

From what I read the rides maxs out at 2.5G sustained. Because of people getting sick on the ride my guess is around 2Gs.

I love this ride.... :sohappy:

I'm gutted! I have an iron stomach once I ate an entire lasagne before riding FTETTM then Indiana Jones backwards (Im sure there's an award for this). I really enjoyed it overall, and i hope this hasn't detracted from the experience.

The shuttle pulls 3 to 3.5 G's. The Saturn V (used for Apollo missions) pulled 6 G's, I believe. The average human can withstand 4 to 7 G's without blacking out. Fighter jet pilots can withstand up to 10 G's without blacking out. A normal person...10 G's is death.

Anyway, the average human's G-force limit all depends on the person. Almost everyone blacks out on Goliath's 4-G helix. I used no techniques to block out the G's while on it, and I felt nowhere near blacking out. I had the lucky opportunity to ride the Moonsault Scramble (6.2 G's!!!!) when I was 17, and I didn't feel like blacking out at all. Same on the Mindbender (the one in Canada), but that only pulls 5.2 G's. Again, it all depends on if you're a chicken or not. :)

Also:
1. How much experience of G's you have, and therefore your tolerance
2.Your size-G's have a greater effect the smaller you are
3. Your state of mind-If you're worried G's have a more noticeable effect.

Fighter Pilots have G suits to help keep the blood in their lower body, they also have a training simulators similar to MS to build tolerance and work on special breathing techniques to help prevent from blacking out.

I have a M:S question of my own. My brother says that they tilt the capsule at the start so you're on your back, and then you launch. Is it actually tilting, or is it just spinning so it feels like it? Thanks in advance.

Yes it tilts, forwards, backwards, left and right, and spins of course :)
