The following carnival-style attraction starts off by resembling rotation mechanics similar to Mission Space, but watch what happens 1 minute into the video. Too bad Disney didn't incorporate this type of ride movement into Mission Space. That would have made for an incredibly wild ride. :hurl:

To quote the cowardly lion...

NOT NO WAY, NOT NO HOW!

Even if you got me a date with Kelly Hu would I go on this thing!
(OK, maybe I would do it for that reason but, you would need to knock me out first)

Wow at first I was thinking that looks like fun and maybe I would ride that, but right after the 1 minute mark I was shocked at what I saw . I would never go on that ever.

Looks like a pretty standard carnival ride. Not something worth putting into a park like Epcot... Mission: SPACE is fine the way it is, just needs some TLC and maybe a new video. That's it...

Speaking of new video, does anyone know what the resolution of the "monitors" are that display the ride video in M:S? My assumption is that they are not as good as the "retina display" resolution such as on the new iPhones. If Disney could install displays that are of a resolution higher than what the human eye can perceive, then they - theoretically - would not have to update them as technology improves; unless they wanted to go in another direction like autostereoscopy 3D, which could be amazing.

I wonder if we'll see more attractions designed with this built in "re-program-ability" such as ToT and M:S, which definitely increase shelf life, appeal, and marketing opportunities. :sohappy:

Here is exactly what I said out loud while watching the video. "OMG that looks like so much fun, I would so ride that." I would love to ride a ride like that.

Anyone remember the episode of "Rugrats" where they take the kids to the carnival and Angelica rides the "Nauseo-Whirl"?

Looks like someone finally invented one. I can't even imagine what it feels like to ride that thing.

I wish I knew how easy it would be to reprogram M:S... Maybe I'll ask one of our maintenance guys sometime...
