Mission: Space Ending

I've been reading a lot about Mission:Space on this website lately. Most reviews have been positive. When I finally got a chance to ride it, I really enjoyed it. The g's were awesome!

However, I have a huge problem with the ride's ending. It is just so abrupt and anti-climatic. I just wanted to get the opinion of others regarding the ride's conclusion. Is there any hope that it will be changed before the ride officially opens?

Chances SEEM to be that the ending will not change.

The whole idea is that we're being TRAINED for space, not going actually going INTO space.

Perhaps, the ending will be different everytime based on commands. This is according to the WDW Website, but we'll wait and see.

Right, I know Steve! So sorry! :(

What I mean is, when this is KNOWN not to happen, it's time to write Disney an error message. :)

LOL no error message will be needed. The post show varies depending on guest performance, so I think they have that angle covered. :)

Is that the storyline of the attraction for sure? I posted this as a question and only got like two responses, which gave me the impression that no one really knows for certain. From what I've read, it sounds like that is the case. But it seems like it would be more fun if the idea was that you were actually going into space, rather than just being on a simulated space mission.

When you enter "Mission: SPACE", you are entering the International Space Training Center, or ISTC.

You are informed all along that this is a training center and you will be receiving astronaut flight training.

It helps the entire attraction fit in better with the "educational" part of Epcot while also being a thrill ride.
