Mission: Space “ISTC Family of the Day”

I just came back from Disney and my friends and I had the great experience of being the Mission:Space “ISTC Family of the Day” on August 14, 2003. We went to get fastpasses for the ride and my friend received this special family of the day pass. When we took it to the nearest cast member to see what it was all about, she said she knew we got a little tour but wasn't sure what else was involved with it. Well, to make a long story semi-short..... we had a tour through the que area and backstage area where the cast members monitor the ride and finally got to ride the ride. It was nice, but thought they would do alittle more with it.

Sounds like a cute idea!

Just hope they don't over do it and start this with EVERY attraction. With my luck, we'd be named the "Parking Lot Tram Family of the Day".

How cool! I had no idea they did that. What a neat experience that must have been.

There isnt all that much more they could show you backstage on MS. Most of the ride system is on view anyway, and even the ride control point is in public view. Glad you had a good time!

I think that's a really cool thing. Disney seems to be experimenting with different bonuses they can give out through their fastpass system. First the bonus fastpass and now this, I think this show why Disney's customer service is next to none.
