Thanks Fido. I guess not everyone has heard of the term "in the bag or "half in the bag" (ie. drunk). Hopefully they wouldn't just assume the literal sense and scorn first and ask questions later, right?

It fit well here, and i'm glad you got it.

Were you worried it would and kept it between your feet for the entire ride or are the G's not strong enough to throw it to either side of the capsule?

No problemo. Everyone is entitled to divergence from the path of serious conversation. It lightens the mood.

I'm curious about this as well, as I'll likely be carrying some manner of camera bag containing a digicam and a minidv camcorder.

Most Camera Bags should fit in the compartment. I must admit one of the Rides I took on Space during the AP previews, I was the only one in my Pod, so I just kept my bag on the seat next to me and it didnt go anywhere.

Here is the backpack that I use, it fits my Sony TRV-50 MiniDV camcorder, My Sony DSC-F717 Digi and my Sony P10 Digi Cam.

Great! Thanks for the info. I used to have an even bigger Tamrac than that back in my multiple 35mm SLR days! My newer bag isn't evan as big as yours, so I should be safe! :)

Is it at all possible to put your backpack on the floor with your feet through the straps. I do that on RnRC, would it work the same w/ here?

I wasnt worried... but I did have a pretty good hold on it, if it would have decided to try and run away. But to tell you the truth, I dont even remember it moving.. except for in the beginning when you are leaned backwards for launch.
