Missing Narration in Haunted Mansion?

Hey guys, just rode HM twice yesterday and while it was the first time in the past two years where I can remember it not breaking down, there was also a spot where the ghost host's narration was missing.

Both times, the "The happy haunts have received your sympathetic vibrations and are beginning to materialize. They're assembling for a swinging wake. And they'll be expecting me. I'll see you all a little later." narration at the ballroom scene did not play. At first I thought it might've just been our buggie, and that the sound had stopped working, but after riding it a second time, I knew that they had removed it.

I had just gone to Disney two weeks ago and rode the HM then. And while it did break down, I don't remember it not having that bit of narration.

Anyone know why this is?

It didn't break down. It had to load a handicapped individual.

When I was there a couple of weeks ago there was one time where that particular narration was missing in my doombuggie but it was there every other time I rode.

It has been missing the last couple of times I have rode in the last week, also the "perhaps Madam Leota...." script was not working for us. Maybe there is just a slight glitch in this section of the mansion.

Sounds like a glitch in the audio control system. It would make no sense for them to drop that line officially.

This has to be a glitch in the audio control system. The new audio that was installed during the last refurb is incredible. I'm sure they will have it fixed soon.

This happened to me every time I rode in that exact spot when I was there in late May of this year!

Interesting considering the close proximity to the rumored Hat Box Ghost location. :animwink:

Has the "perhaps Madam Leota can summon them..." part EVER been on WDW's HM??? I don't ever remember it, I thought it was only in Disneyland's version...It certainly hasn't been on there today.

I rode Haunted Mansion more than anything else on my last trip, and I'd say that out of more than a dozen rides that one particular "gathering for a swinging wake" line was missing twice, maybe three times, and was the only section of audio that didn't appear 100% of the time. There seemed to be no pattern or noticeable cause for it's disappearance either.

I doubt it is a purposeful omission, but probably a glitch with a particular Doom Buggy or two.

Rode this yesterday and I remember this narration playing. Maybe OP got unlucky? In fact, everything I noticed in the HM was working. It was awesome!

that's interesting that those lines are still heard on the east coast. Anaheim blocked the sensors that trigger those lines in their version a few years back only to unblock it from mid September to early January for HMH.

Come to think of it I don't think I've ever heard this line in WDW either. Well it has to be, I didn't get on the one in Disneyland and I know I've heard it 'live' before. But this line also was not working when I was there last week.

The Leota line was never part of WDW's narration as far as I know.

I've ridden Haunted Mansion probably five or six times since May, and the "sympathetic vibrations" spiel was missing every time. I hope they fix this, as that is one of the more important parts of the spiel.

That line was never in the WDW Mansion.
