Miss Classic Characters?

Anyone else miss the classic cartoons starring Mickey, Goofy, Donald, Minnie, and all the others? I guess these are kind of out of style. Not even Warner who used to dominate television shorts really makes them anymore. Still, would you watch them if they started airing them again and why?

If they aired some of the old cartoons, i'd watch them. That's why i miss Vault Disney, they used to show great old shorts in between other shows. House of Mouse is doing cartoons with the Fab Four all the time, however it's just not the same nor are the shorts as good. I fear, the only way to see any of the old classic cartoons is to purchase them on DVD Treasures Series.

I miss the Chip and Dale cartoons with Donald Duck...

Don't know why Mr. Eisner wouldn't want them played? :brick:

I grew up on that stuff. Thank God for the Treasures! I was so excited when they started coming out. This spring- Donald Duck! :sohappy: THAT'S the one I've been most eagerly anticipating.

I have a Christmas Special I taped back in the 80s when i was pre 6yo with all classic shorts with classic characters. It really is one of the best "movies" I have. Beautifully drawn, funny, touching, warm stories, and memorable characters.

This is the kind of stuff that they should play on Disney Channel like they did circa 1987 with Avonlee, MMC, and all those amazing cartoons, presented commercial free, of course.
