As a part of MK's ongoing constructions MISICI performances will be reduced to 5:40pm and 7:00pm. This happened yesterday, and will happen again on June 6th and June 13th.

Bravo Disney!!! Best news all day!

I know right! Just reporting for anyone possibly interested

IMHO, this is the greatest thing to come from the ongoing construction. I envy the guests who are there and won't have to put up with this horrific performance as often as usual.

Greatest news ever! Hopefully this could be the beginning of the end of its atrociousness.:):)

I don't know how this entertainment offering is still around. Disney has manage to get rid of the parades at every other Florida park but for some reason decided to leave this crappy show and let it go up and down Main Street 3 times a day. Enough is enough!!

:inlove: My daughter and I love MiSiCi -- but that adoration started 4 years ago because my daughter loved The Mad Hatter and it was where she could see him on a regular basis... Then we got to know the performers in the show becuase we would be at all three performances at least once a week. :joyfull:

I totally respect those who don't like it, that's cool, but we love it and will be there in tears onthe day it finally goes away!

I agree, I really like the show. It only happens three times a day and people really have a great time watching and dancing during it. Once again, everyone can have their own opinion, respect that, but I'll super sad when they announce the day that it will finally close probably with no replacement like every other entertainment offering at WDW....

My gripe with MISICI is in the execution. As a concept I like the idea of a dance party with characters in the Hub. But I'm tired of hearing the same generic pop nonsense blaring down Main Street for 6 years. Update it, redesign the floats and class it up a bit (aka, get rid of the annoying DJ).

My goodness this show is loud. Do we really need to have some sort of show with its audio blasting out of the Main Street speakers all day? I long for a return to the days when there were quieter periods on Main Street where you could just take in the atmosphere without needing earplugs while dealing with packs of crowds. I feel like I have to push through a pack of paparrazi to make it to the rides.

This!!!! For whatever reason it has gotten worse over time. I hope this is a sign its on its way out already.

It's the way they act for all things these days. Any of those highly forgettable performances on the stage in front of the BAH in the Studios is turned up to 11, same with the music at the Osborne lights. To overcompensate for a lack of true entertainment value, they seem to think that if it's so deafening, people will assume it's good and pay attention, when that's far from the truth. Instead a number of people cover their ears, or their children's and turn the other way. With the PA system in place along Main St, loudspeakers everywhere, they don't need high volume, they get coverage everywhere as it is.

What? I am livid more entertainment cutbacks - what is disney on? .... LOL as others say - this is outstanding news. I managed to catch this travesty on my last trip. This is one entertainment offering that can be discarded immediately.
They are repaving parts of Main St overnight and can't have heavy floats driving on it that early in the day.

I wonder if anyone ever complains about it, I would love to but then it comes across as sounding like a stick in the mud or something and its not like they would share it with management, but these levels are ridiculous.

These reductions are based purely on maintenance and have nothing to do with budget cuts. It will be back to its regular schedule by the end of the month.
