There's a very short list of attractions that were in both Disneyland and The Magic Kingdom in the 70s that were not built in Tokyo and the PeopleMover was one of them*
I get why they went with the then newer Pinocchio over Mr Toad, or decided not to build Submarine Voyage, but not even a covered PeopleMover like in WDW? Even after duplicating the North and South Tomorrowland buildings from Florida that were designed with it in mind? And an elevated Star Jets?
*I can think of 4 total: PeopleMover, Mr Toad, Submarine Voyage and Mission to Mars
