Wow they really mean soaked to the max. There's like a shower head even.
Yeah in Tokyo they did to help battle the summer heat. It's a seasonal overlay from July 1st until August 31st. It's pretty insane, the jets are turned on for the big splash and there's a soaking park after.Forgive me if I'm late but did Splash turn up the water?
We had the same experience! My dad, my brother and I are all very tall. They pulled us from the queue, walked us there to try it out and we luckily fitted. The best part of the story is, they told the people behind us to tell the cm at the loading station we were in front of them. So they made us wait at the station until they came along and they told the cm and we were good to go. Gotta love japanese people!Splash was a bit tight for him iirc but admittedly that was a while ago when I went with him and I’m not very tall so never had any issue when I returned.
I remember Space because a CM walked him to the maintenance bay to test the seat because she wasn’t sure he would fit but yes it’s the same train as the DL one I believe
Although imperfect humans like we all are, the Japanese are some of the most gracious folks I've ever met.We had the same experience! My dad, my brother and I are all very tall. They are. Guests can't cross the yellow line, the character will come to the yellow line for high fives and shaking hands. But then they go back into their corner for the 2m distanced photoMinor relaxation of character COVID protocols: Starting today characters are allowed to once again sign autographs, high five, shake hands. Still no hugging allowed. Not sure if the photos are still distanced or not.
New: Masks effectively no longer required outdoors in the parks.
To each their own. I get that wearing a mask all day can be annoying for some, but for me 100% masking was/is far less of a problem than not selling multi-day tickets, not making it easy to buy tickets, not having performers in parades, not allowing parkhopping, not having full park hours, skimpy food menus, etc.easy equations to understand: 100% mask = no visit
50% mask = visit

I get that wearing a mask all day can be annoying for some,
I did it in 2020 all day at parks multiple times and survived. Sometimes while riding coasters that went over 90 mph.all day????
try 5 minutes if completely unnecessary...........like if I'm more or less distanced and outside. If inside I can deal with it to some level like lining up for my boy Shiriki.
Well you still have a ways to go unfortunately. Masking is still probably around 95-98%, both indoors and outdoors and all theme parks still have a masking mandate in effect. Haven't been to Disney in a while but I was told over and over today at USJ to put on a mask indoors, was mostly left alone outdoors except for two times when a TM told me to mask up. A couple weeks ago I was not allowed to ride an outdoor river rapids ride at Fuji-Q Highland until I put a mask on.easy equations to understand: 100% mask = no visit
50% mask = visit

Isn't it? It's significantly more expensive but god I'd eat at just about every restaurant in that park except Mel's Drive-In and Studio Stars, and I'd be satisfied. Both parks at TDR only have maybe 2-3 edible quick-service places anymore, and usually they each only have one thing I would want to eat. If OLC would hike their food quality alongside a significant price increase, I would not be unhappy at all.Visited USJ today and just have to say Universal's food is SO much better than TDR's. Like it's actually kind of crazy.
I have never been to TDR... what is so bad about their food? And has the quality changed over the years?Isn't it?
