Hello everyone!
Im hoping our next trip will be this spring sometime, and it will also be a surprise trip for my mom, im 18 and been saving my money since we got back last spring to take my mom, since shes done so much for me and deserves a vacation. She wasnt very impressed with All star movies resort that we stayed at since we had stayed at CB a few years before. Since ill be paying for this myself as a surprise i was planning on staying at pop for part of the trip and then upgrading to PO or WL for two nights. I suppose my question is Is there a minimum number of nights that you have to book for at a resort?

There is no minimum number of nights, so go ahead with those plans. By the way, you might find that she likes Pop Century much better than the AllStars anyway. I know that we do.

The only time there is a minimum night requirement is on packages. I believe most packages have a 3-night minimum to book them.

On room-only reservations, you can stay a single night if you want/need to. We had to do that a couple years back. We were going to be staying at Riverside, but as much as we tried and hoped to get a cancellation, they were totally booked for the first night of our trip. So, we stayed at Sports for one night and then had them transfer our luggage.

There is no minimum stay on packages. With the MYW packages that started in 06, they can be anywhere between 1 night and 10 nights. Room-Only reservations can be between 1 night and 30 nights.

OK. I was basing my package experience off of the special offer packages. The current special available to the general public states that there's a 3-night minimum required.

Anytime we have booked a package it has always been a 3 night minimum stay.

First of all that is really a nice gesture that you are doing for your mom! :sohappy: And second, I just got back from staying at POP and I agree she may find it to be a better resort than All Star. But whatever you do have a great time sounds like you BOTH deserve it! :)

nice gesture to mom. As your on a budget with some flexibility in your time at each resort, check out internet reservations in addition to the disney travel. I've found travelocity has occassionally offered better room rates on some hotel than I was able to get from Disney's travel.

How sweet of you!! Your mom will be so surprised!

My parents enjoyed POP when they stayed; however, they enjoy the AllStars as well. They DID say that POP was more centrally located, the busses were much better, and it was of course newer.

I'd look at deals for Port Orleans Riverside/French Quarter. They're nice, a little quieter, and not as big as the CB. HAVE FUN!!

OK, I just checked the website and tried booking a couple packages:

A regular, undiscounted package has no minimum night stay requirements. (I was able to book a 1-night package)

Special offer discount packages appear to have a 3-night minimum stay.
