Does anyone have opinions and the Mini Golf in Disney. My girlfriend and I love to play mini golf but are curious how the 2 places are in Disney.:king:

I think they are good. They aren't in that bad of shape unlike some of the ones around Orlando and all over the country.

Another good course near WDW is the Pirate's Cove course in the Crossroads shopping area. It's right across from Hotel Plaza Blvd.

Mini putt putt

My husband and I played at the Fantasia Gardens on Disney Property a few years back. From what I can recall, it was a nice course! Was pricy was we had a good time. There's something called Congo River that was pretty cool as well but I think that was in I-Drive.
You can get an Orlando Magiccard which has some discounts on some mini putt putt courses as well as dining, etc. throughout Orlando. Go to orlandoinfo.com to order your free card. =)

i've played Fantasia Golf several times...but i've never gotten around to playing the two courses are at Blizzard Beach...i'd LOVE to give them a try sometime! but as for Fantasia, it's really fun! and, as with all things Disney, the themeing is top notch!

I have played at all the courses...

I think that Wintersummerland is better than Fantasia Gardens. It is more interactive, and the holes are more "player friendly". I think that Fantasia Gardens is a nicer course. The scenery and location are great. It all depends on the theme you want. Also, at Fantasia Gardens there are two courses. One is like a regular golf course putting green, and the other is like a mini golf couse. Make sure you go to the mini golf side. Wintersummerland is two mini golf courses (one winter and one summer).

The cost is about 9.25 a person to play. If you play one round and want to do the other course (Wintersummerland) or want to play again you get 50% off the price.

One comment on Fantasia Gardens. It is out in the open with very little shade. Playing in afternoon sun can be brutal that's why we play at night.

My husband and I played the winter course in Wintersummerland on the day we departed. It was really cute! The winter course had very little shade as well, but there's one hole when you're playing the back nine that cools you off a little bit (think snowman!)

I've had a chance to play all of the courses... The Winter Summerland courses were the most fun to play. The theming was really cool. The Fantasia Gardens ones were fun as well, and the theming (although not as exciting as WSL) was still very good.

One thing to note... Fantasia Gardens has two courses. One is the 'traditional' mini-golf with the fun stuff. The other one is a miniature real golf course, complete with sand traps, and the like. Not as easy as it looks! While I did have fun with it, I wouldn't recommend the greens for kids.

By the way... how many of you guys have "Hole in almost one" :p

We played Fantasia Gardens a few years ago for my birthday. It was very expensive, but really cool. I'd like to go again! :sohappy:

I'd also like to try some of the other courses, because they all look cool.

Pirates Cove (from the outside) looks more 'natural' than the Disney courses, which are all plastic. But I guess the Disney ones are better because they have more interaction - music, moving stuff etc.

we played the winterland when we were there a few weeks back. When we checked into movies we got free passes for everyone in our group to one game of minigolf. we had never been before but we really liked it..our kids love minigolf..not something to do during the heat of the day though!

How late does WinterSummerland stay open. Don't you have to catch the bus at Blizzard Beach to get there and back? If so, do the busses keep coming when Blizzard Beach closes for the night?

I loved Winter Summerland it was a very fun mini golf course. When you go on the summer side, watch out for the fish:D they spit! We briefly were able to play at the Fantasia Gardens course, it was way too busy when we got there so we just went to Winter Summerland again. The two courses are a must do if you have enough time down there.

I beleive both Fantasia and WSL are open till 11:00pm. As for transportation, as WSL, there are busses that run from Blizzard Beach until 8:45pm. These busses run to Epcot and Disney-MGM Studios, so then you'd have to transfer to your resort. (They are the Epcot/All Star and the Studios/AKLodge busses)

As for Fantasia Gardens, the Swan is right across the street, and Downtown Disney busses run from there well past the golf's closing time.

If you go for theming go to Winter Summerland, if it's for skill level go to Fantasia Gardens. Both are really nice courses, but I personally think Fantasia is more challenging.

Fantasia Gardens

The two miniature courses at Fantasia Golf are Fantasia Gardens, the 'traditional' miniature course themed to the original Fantasia, and Fantasia Fairways, which is the course with fairways, sand traps etc.

The gardens are a great way to spend some peaceful time. The fairways are more for serious miniature golfers.

Watch the sunscreen supply at both, very little shade! we've had our best times earlier in the day, or after dark, although it is much busier at night!

If you go to Wintersummerland after park closings and need to get back to the resort go across the street to Coronado Springs. Then from there go to Downtown Disney, then take the bus back to your resort.

Also as Tyler said...if you are at Fantasia Gardens do the same thing just from the Swan and Dolphin Resorts.

As far as the Fantasia courses go I've only played the Fairways, and it is the toughest mini golf you're ever likely to play.

Winter Summerland is good fun, I managed to get a daily best score on the winter course.

Outside of Disney I would recommend Congo River, but Pirate's Cove at Crossroads and on I Drive are by far my favourite courses in the Orlando area.
