I know I'm old and probably getting feeble minded, but, I did not understand a single part of what you just posted. Can I get a brief summary? You know Cliff Notes type!

Sorry! I was typing on the move. FL for Fantasyland, AL for Adventureland, and I meant to say "I went around the castle" so I avoided the area completely and wasn't able to check with a CM and see what the issue was. I realize how awful my wording was and I'd also meant to say that "I've been stuck in line at mine train when it had gone down before, but it wasn't for multiple hours" and that "I missed my chance" was because I avoided the area and didn't ask a CM for info

Gotcha, thanks. I read it a few times then I realized the what was throwing me was the word "rent". I, sadly, was reading it to fast and trying to make it literal. A thousand pardons.

There is someone down the road that gets better and better. I'm quite happy to spend my day talking about it - because that's what discussion is for, and also I feel that my voice should be heard - as a fan of Disney and a consumer.

You also don't have to spend all day defending it! ;)

As for a go-to brand... just because they are a brand leader today, doesn't mean they will be tomorrow... history has proved that many times.

I'll say it again, unless you work for Disney's finance department or a major shareholder, why would you as a consumer be so over supportive of these increases? When will it be too much for you? You say that you don't have to go... yet all Disney marketing for parks and resorts paints it as a right of passage for the ideal family.

I go to Universal, it's not magical. Decent quality, and 2 areas with a real theme, but you do not get treated like you do at Disney.

And you don't sound much like a fan. And if you want to be heard, this probably isn't the place to air your grievances.

As for me defending it, well, I am certainly no accountant, but I have eyes and ears and I am in the parks (all 4 + Disney Springs) on a weekly basis and bottom line -- the magic exists. And magic is the value. You can ride a ride at a county fair, but it's not magical. I see these kids working hard at creating the moments you see in videos and commercials, and it's very real. Sure, one in 50 or 100 CMs has a bad attitude, but imagine how dealing with 1000s of people who want a refund because freaking Mine Train is down would take it's toll on you...

Again, if I thought something was such a rip-off, I wouldn't waste my time talking about it. But, I come to the boards because they were made for folks who love WDW and enjoy it, but now it's just a bunch of grumpy dudes who have their tighty-whities in a bunch.
