Mine Coaster Ride Through.

Take it easy, everyone. We have two years to study and dissect this footage to figure out what the souped-up kiddie coaster will be like.

And a very exciting two years it will be! A real E-ticket waiting for us at the end of it!

If that's only half of it, and the cars really will sway... then this will be a very nice addition to MK, though still not something I'm excited for. If that is most of the ride, and the cars don't sway... then... sigh.

Target date for this has always been first calendar quarter of 2014 and barring any major problems I don't see a problem with them making that date. So we are looking at a year and a few months at the most.

An earlier thread claimed this would be on a level between Barnstormer and Big Thunder. Thoughts? Maybe a step below Matterhorn?

If this video is representative of what the interior show scenes would look like I think it's pretty good. I had my expectations pretty low for this part of it however. Most of my interest is how much the swaying will add to the ride and what the complex will look like from the exterior.

Unfortunately my favorite portion of SWSA was the haunted forest and while the mine and cottage will/may end up in this ride I doubt the forest will, unless it is somewhere on the outside.

Wow, I'm so shocked that some people here are overreacting to an attraction far from completion, or a partial mock up video of said attraction.

Anyway, from an article by Ricky at ISM (link to article below):

"Staggs noted the video does not show the full ride, leaving a few “surprises” for the future, but that it does depict both the dark ride and more thrilling elements to the attraction, a combination of two ride styles."

As he says, "We brought along a piece of that simulation..."

There is nothing shocking about any of this. While it may not be done, it is what it is at this point. The hill will look very pleasant in Enchanted Forest, it will be a pleasant ride, and it will have 2 scenes (the one in the video and a finale passing by the cottage.)

I guess now that New Fantasyland has opened (as well as Test Track 2.0) and everything is out there for people to see, the only thing left to do is pick apart and complain about simulation footage. Come on folks! It's a partial simulation... a teaser if you will. Do we really need to spend the next year+ with people complaining about this new coaster based on just this tiny little computer generated sim?

Would be hard to do during the day, maybe some glow in the dark or black light paint on the trees outside and have it show the haunted forest at night. Would be neat idea, but doubt they would do it. Maybe it will be apart of the que, who knows?

It seems to look very nice. I will especially like how the hill will look, I hope it looks realistic like in the pictures. I also like how you get to see alot of Fantasyland from the ride, you get to see all of the castles. I guess if I want to ride the full length version I will have to go overseas. Disney is building the full 7DMT ride in Asia, right? To bad everything we get at WDW is Value Engineered, but im still happy to see that this is going to be a nice ride.

Can I just point out something aren't the carts supposed to be swinging? I see no swinging in that attraction simulated or otherwise - especially when they hyped it up at the last D23 - valued engineered again?

Also I love cardboard Dopey and Doc real class

Once again, you are overly pessimistic and wrong. The carts will swing, and the two dimensional CG versions of the dwarves are not the animatronic versions going in the ride.

IMO, This should be great. It should have some AAs besides cardboard cutouts. Remember, The video gives you an idea of what you will be seeing.

Very correct in the "video gives you an IDEA of what the ride will be" not what it actually will be...I do not think there will b cut outs in this ride but animatronics instead!
